Hi all Thiefess ;) here~
October is all spooky missions! :eek:
Each time a new video is released I will update the links on this post and add the date it was posted. Feel free to recommend a Thief II mission for me! (At some point I will do Thief and Thief Deadly Shadows, but for now sticking to Thief II as it's my favorite!)
I wanted to let everyone know that I'm putting together a Youtube for Thief II FM Walkthroughs! So far I have an introduction video, but I'm dedicated to making walkthroughs on all FMs because I feel like the Fan missions are one of the most important parts of Thief. (Also I have this small hope that someone will start making Thief II fan missions again!) If you have a moment to check out my introduction video and let me know what you think I would appreciate it so very much! I decided to use Chuffy Train as my first fan mission walkthrough (as it's fairly short and easy to explain game mechanics while playing). I really love doing this and I'm definitely working on audio quality in my newest videos so if you guys like it please let me know! Also, don't hesitate to like, subscribe and comment on the video if you want to see me play a specific Fan mission!:cheeky:
Thank you all so so much in advance! You have all been incredibly nice to me, even when I asked so many silly questions in the forums trying to fumble my way through Thief II missions. Thief II has been one of my favorite games to play since I was about 10 years old, I'm almost 30 now! :p

Video is the most inconvenient format for Thief 2 walkthroughs.
Write. Can you write? This is key is here, that key is there... Few screenshots for tricky situations and voila: we have small, useful sources of information.
Video is good only for watching from the beginning to the end. Well, except porno, but we're talking about walkthroughs...

I have noticed some people already make written walkthroughs, however I am leaning more towards what the internet uses for walkthroughs these days and I find it more often to be Youtube. I prefer my walkthroughs typed out, but the younger generation really seems to connect with video playthroughs. I can definitely see myself making written ones at some point. The forums are really handy for written hints like that as well. :D

Not necessarily. She can put times when she collects important items or completes objectives into description under video. This will help a lot for people who only wants to find a certain key or item, but beat rest of the mission on their own. And there will be no need to watch a whole video. Maybe except troublesome loot objectives that sometimes appear in Fan Missions.

Absolutely! I am doing this for myself and any other Thief FM fan who has at some point gotten ridiculously stuck and hasn't been able to find a hint to help them out. I am also going through all the Fan missions and dedicating October to all spooky themed missions, I'm super excited for that!

I recently did a walkthrough of Yandros Burrick's Head Inn FM. (Specifically the Vintage Edition) It's one of my favorite fan missions and I love the aesthetic of the Vintage Edition so much! At the moment I am uploading two walkthroughs a week (one in the beginning and one at the end of the week) I have a bit of a cold so going to try my hardest to keep to this schedule.:sweat:
In October I will be doing all spooky/scary/creepy/horror thief II fan missions! I can't wait!! :cheeky:

Have you seen FenPhoenix's YouTube channel? He has many of the FM playthroughs on his channel.
The problem with using a video as a walkthrough is that the player would have to watch the whole video to find the part where he is stuck at... Unless the video is indexed and specific areas can be found quickly.
