Installed and played "Townhouse" and still i got slow frame rate and camera jerking. Something tells me that it is something wrong with tha ATI drivers i got (5,3).
I remember the first time i instaled TDS i had the same slow frame rate when i started the game. Then i reinstaled the drivers and it runed absolutely smooth.
I tried many times and reinstall the drivers but both FM's work slowly and the original game. When garrett loader is not instaled the original game runs smoothly. I am realy confuzed:confused:

After all i cleared that it is not my drivers but soethning GL does to the installation of the game.
Uninstalled eyerything
Instaled TDS with the TMAIN.exe from potterr's page and worked fine.
Instaled GL and the game works fine
Hit the button on GL to show missions
Install one mission
And then the frame rate drops around 15 FPS on all fms and original game
So something hapens at the time of mission installation.
My ststem: 3.2 Ghz intel - 1G ram - ati radeon 9800 pro
Any help please?

great mission, having fun w/ it
have got 93% loot and Special Vintage + 1 special loot (2 to go)
-wondering about body-in-rafters referenced in this thread---where?

-also how to get loot above waterwheel?
-any hint to special loot locations would be cool also
(I assume waterwheel may be one, but could be wrong)
thanks

The loot above the water wheel is special loot item. It's really hard to get. You can jump on the pipe in one corner and from it onto the wheel. If you get lucky, you might be high enough to get the object. Another way is to stand on a box and jump onto the water wheel from it. It might take a few tries but you should be able to get up high enough on the water wheel to get it that way.
I recently found out that the water wheel is supposed to be turning, which is never has for me, so if it's working properly, that may make it easier to get up to the top.
The spot with the body on the shelf is where you'll find another special loot item. Find the small storeroom that has a grate that goes through into the master bedroom and look up.

No help from me, I'm afraid, but I'm having the exact same problems (frame rate is abysmal, around 15 fps on OMs and FMs, and I've been racking my brain why it should be so). Check out my comments in (

Glad to know I'm not alone with this problem.

Do you have the latest drivers for radeon card?
I use the omega catalyst drivers as the ATI ones were terrible on my PC (kept crashing them). Im using version 5.4 which is a bit old but I get around 50-60 fps in game (except in a few areas where it drops to around 10).
PC specs are AMD athelon 2800+, 768 MB ram, 200GB HD, Saphire Radeon 9600 Pro card.
But as mentioned several times before this may well be due to the user.ini file settings of the FMs. These need to be refined and the process by which GL uses them also need to be refined.

Just out of curiosity, have you tried just starting the level anew and going straight to the wheel? It seems to be that the script to rotate it is triggered when you start the map but not when you load a save. For what it's worth, it wasn't any easier to climb when moving.
