That worked for me, too, for the original missions. Frame rates are back to normal. Only thing is, I haven't tried it with the FMs, which probably will require the vertexpool settings back in.
Well, at least the problem's partly solved!

Where is the

PCvertextpools section
and what do I do with it? TDS isn't doing well on my computer at all so anything that might help is worth trying.
Glaswolf - No I haven't tried that but I will when I have time. I'd just like to see it moving. :)

The PCvertextpools section is in the user.ini file - in my setup it's in the root Thief3 folder. It sounds as though Kin deleted that section completely. Make sure you back up first!
Edit: I've just tried this. You need to have the FM installed in GL. Then delete the PCvertextpools section from user.ini, and play in GL - and yes, it's a lot faster.
Note: if you edit user.ini first and then install the mission in GL, or if you quit GL and then come back in, the edit disappears. I guess GL restores the original state when it starts.
Glaswolf is spot on re the water wheel. It helps to get the loot, but you have to jump off pdq!

Yes the problem with the waterwheel is the scripts. My fault. It doesn't start turning when loaded from a savegame. I plan to upload a new version (with italian language support!) very soon.

Gonchong: played it, loved it, & would like more please!! Thanks for all your hard work - the results were fabulous! Really enjoyed myself! :D

Just finished this mission (100% of loot). Good job :thumb:
I definitely would play new version if some appears (probably with more details - most of halls and some rooms look pretty empty, like in Thef 1). But I think we all understand that is impossible to create highest (not just high) quality level design in such short time especially with new editor even for such Great Master (Gonchong) :)
Some funny things I catched:
1. I missed
key in "master" room
. I found
note on table
but cannot catch and highlight
key
first time. Interesting, I've got the same in some original Thief DS mission. It was harder to find for me even than some hidden switch in some Thief 2 mission :) Dunno why...
2. Since
wheel
was stopped it was easy to get
bird statue
.
3. I cannot find
battle horn
before I read spoiler in this thread. It was funny to drop this beast down but it looks as very tough objective for me. Is this horn mentioned somewhere? I've only read
note about deadly wouded intruder
.
4. This
deadly wouded guy
was really very strong. Interesting, how did he get to his final place? :)

Is there a blackjack in this level? I've searched the holding cell area where the mission starts, and have briefly explored the next two floors. I don't want anyone to tell me where it is, just if there is one. Thanks.

Yes. :)

Took a break for an hour or so, came back, and voila "I can read again". Not only was there a blackjack,
but the rest of my stuff as well.
Sorry for the stupidity earlier.
BTW GREAT fan mission!!!!!
