So, GameInformer, a magazine my sister is currently getting, has a good two-page mention of Thief and how it inspired many games and still does. Not least important is it to note that it had a small box dedicated to T2X.
Also, it had a small note on what Thief 4 was going to be. As many probably know (not including me, however XD), it was planned to be a "modern" Thief. Of course, the company was gone before they could finish it.
Tell me, you editors and FM-makers out there, how true is this quote?
"Nothing speaks to dedication like a full fan-made expansion pack, especially when its creators suffered through a buggy and inconsistent editor to create it."

I'd change it to...
"Nothing speaks to dedication like over eight hundred fan-made missions, especially when its creators suffered through a buggy and inconsistent editor to create it."
Though I don't think dromed is inconsistent. Its machinations are hopelessly obscure sometimes, but it works according to its own logic. The problem is understanding that logic.

T2X was great...hell more than great but to give credit there and not props to the rest of the fan made missions(if that's the case) shows....well it shows ignorance.
As for DromEd...well I still have work left to do so I can't say anything now as it will hear me and F me in the A if I do.;)

Is dromed really that bad an editor? I ran through komag's tutorial, and found it easier to use than most other editors I've tried. At least, it's the only one I ever actually made anything with.

It is somewhat sad that the article doesn't really mention all the FMs out there...
Anyway, should I put the full little box on the T2X forum?

Hmmm... Maybe a small letter-to-the-editor writing campaign about the FMs and FM community to these magazines that give Thief and T2X a nod would be in order.
And yeah...it would be appropriate to mention the article in the T2X forum.:thumb:

Its got its pros & cons. Its not really that hard to use, but at times it doesn't feel like it was designed to run in Windows, or any other human OS in fact...

It is quirky, but after all the hushed whispers about its horrors and no level editing experience whatsoever, I found it surprisingly easy to get into.
And much harder to get out of. :erm:

Just having mentioned Thief, let alone a two-page article, is miracle for Game Informer; considering that it's a more or less a GameStop propaganda catalogue, rather than a legitimate source of unbiased journalism.
