Not that I feel the need to post here every time I happen upon somebody's intelligent commentary on Thief, but this one time I'll give in to my urge. Here it is.
Duncan Fyfe's blog "Hit Self-Destruct" contains some entries from March, (partly) reflecting upon Thief from several angles. I like the way he thinks, and I suspect you guys might, too.
March 3: (
http://www.hitselfdestruct.com/2008/03/stop-cycle-of-violence-i-want-to-get.html) Stop The Cycle Of Violence, I Want To Get Off (Thief mentioned as an example, but not dwelt upon at length),
March 20: (
http://www.hitselfdestruct.com/2008/03/protocol.html) Protocol.
March 22: (
http://www.hitselfdestruct.com/2008/03/first-part.html) The First Part.
March 30: [url=(
http://www.hitselfdestruct.com/2008/03/stopthief.html) Stop/Thief. This is really the one to read if you only have time for one.
Also, there's what's in his words (
http://www.hitselfdestruct.com/2007/10/1-thief-dark-project-1998.html) "the first real blog post he ever did".
I don't know this Duncan from anywhere, but at he attended the GDC, sitting in on the Levine panel, amongst others. That's got to count for something.

The link to "The First Part" isn't working for me...
But I read the other ones, and they're very interesting. Thanks for posting these links!
It might be a bit late now, but it's too bad no one brought up fan missions in the comments on Stop/Thief, after he said that all that's left is nostalgia. Thief is still alive and kicking, with all the great FMs that have come out recently! I guess I'll post such a comment...

Link fixed. Thanks.
Yes, please do post a comment about FMs. I gather he gets quite a few visitors. Don't forget to mention both DromEd and T3ED.
EDIT: Haha, you two taffers, you. *snicker* :laff:
