Well, nothing like that comes to mind at the moment but when I am outside at night I continually find myself standing in shadows. :tsktsk:
But just how do motorcycles remind you of THC?
If you've listened to the TG soundtrack, and the THC section, you'll know.
Certain sounds in there sound like motorcycles in the distance.

For me, the classic thing comming from Thief:
i'm usually trying to walk more quietly and unnoticable, but still hurry up to my goal. I also like staying in darker places and stay as an observer/specator.

Sometimes i hear ambient sounds from thief, it is mostly a brain thing. Playing many hours a game can imprint many things in the brain.

Yeah, these remind me of when I sometimes walk on lit streets at night, I can't help noticing where the shadow lines are and unconsciously moving towards them to walk in the shadows.
I also remember in the past one alleyway on my walk home from work at the time that at night was lit by a single old lamppost and so perfectly shadowed (very Thiefy; boring in the day though), but at night, I mean it was perfect; it was incredible, and I once literally stopped and said "That's so beautiful it hurts" and a friend would see this alleyway with a old fence and some garbage cans and I'm sure was thinking 'what the hell is he talking about?'
There are a couple of "perfect" streets I've seen like that; they all make a big impression.

Whenever a train goes by, or a gust of wind whistles through my window, I'm reminded of the TMA mission where you're robbing the warehouses, the 2nd mission I believe, near the ship. The ambient noise there is beautiful and I've often just sat there and listened to the wind and the water.
Same thing with Deus Ex by the docks on the first mission.

Makes me want to play Deus Ex again.

I also liked the sound in Clive Barker's Undying. The rain falling against the windows sounded very good.

I can seen it now........cops,handcuffs,screams,peeping Tom(Garrett)
"Wild boy, scavenges, from LARP party...computer game becomes real life for him"
now where have we seen that before?:cheeky:
Realistically speaking, they'd never catch me. These things always happen out in the woods somewhere, usually in state parks. If one of the LARPers spotted me:
A: Like I said, it would be easy to play it off like I were one of them. Especially if I bothered to bring some small foam "weapon" of some kind.
B: If it concerned them enough to call the cops, I'd damn sure be long gone before they got to the woods.
C: It's not illegal to be in a state park at night anyway. Especially when I've payed for a campsite there. Maybe it'd confuse and weird people out, but what could I possibly be charged with?
D: In my less balanced and restrained youth, I *did* trespass quite a bit in my sneaking around. I've had the cops called on me before, and I've thusly evaded them and their flashlights. This was before I was properly trained, so I'm quite a bit better than back in those days.
I'm no "boy", and I certainly wasn't inspired to do this by Thief. I played Thief because I'm a sneak, rather than sneaking because I played Thief. As I said, I was trained at the Tracker School. I know that doesn't make me a "professional" sneak... but that's because sneaking isn't a profession. If it were, I'd be one.
As it happens, I teach classes about just that and wilderness survival at the martial arts studio I attend. Here's one of my students:
