People can shit all they want on virtual friendships and how fake & shallow can be, but as far as I'm concerned (and speaking from unfortunate experience here) more of my virtual friends have proven to be more true than those I've had in RL, including some family members, sadly enough. This is DEFINITELY NOT a bid for sympathy; just a statement of fact. It's the most wonderful feeling in the world to walk into a room and have people recognize & welcome you warmly. And that's the reaction I've had from my fellow TTLG'ers every time I've been away for awhile & then come back again.
I agree with you... lol...
My most trustworthy friend i only know in internet. Perhaps that is why - we might never meet, so we can hardly mess anything up for each other.
Bah, dirtytalk...

I have to disagree with that statement. My best friends are my internet friends, that I HAVE MET. It deepens the friendship when you do meet. People come and go for sure.

Ok, I'm officially done. I promise.

To stay on topic, Thief is indeed a great stress reliever for me as well. Dromed also. Though, dromed is more along the lines of breaking your finger to make you forget about the pain in your leg.

The more I hear 'Dromed' associated with the word 'Pain' the less inclined I am to give it a try. I'm beginning to think there are a lot more masochists around here than I thought at first. ;) Whatever; I'm just glad there are so many souls here who are willing to brave this beast called dromed and create so many wonderful FMs. That's what keeps most of us coming back, right? :thumb:

Playing Thief keeps me out of trouble with the law.
My friend borrowed my copies of Thief 1 and 2. I haven't gotten the back in a few months now. He just keeps saying "soon." So yeah, no escapism for me for a while.

That's the one I have. My original discs stopped working a while back. Guess I should've said copy instead of "copies." Anyway, I just hope he gets his own sometime soon.

That's a bit harsh. I'd probably only go as far as a few water arrows into the computer.
