Wow, the ankle-biters are out in force today.

BTW, ZylonBane is a troll and never posts anything positive. Don't respond to the attention seeker.
:laff: ZylonBane may be opinionated, crusty and cynical...but he's hardly a troll. In fact, despite his often infuriating responses, there is usually a kernal of truth, which have obviously gotten under your skin. He's also a productive member of the community.
Edited for accuracy.

GLADLY...and HOW!
Think it's time I employed the little used, block function.

Okay, now you're just crackin' me up. I'm at work. I can't keep saying 'ZylonBane' in the tone Seinfeld says 'Newman' and then bursting into laughter without my co-workers looking at me oddly.
Stop.
And yes; I'll admit ZB can be quite informative as well as amusing. Even (especially) when he's trolling. It does get stale after awhile, though.

Hmmm, it's much more satisfying to say "tewwwl-faann" in that seinfeldian sneer. ;)

It's useless. You can still see when blocked people have posted, it just hides the message text.

No offense intended, Dia, but Half Life was a pretty popular thing when it came out and has almost dominated the FPS scene for many a year now.
:)
You *would* almost have to be under a rock to have missed it.

Yeah, if nobody under this rock ever mentions HL or even knows about it, I'd like to ask: where is it and can I come?
Goldmoon Dawn on 27/2/2006 at 19:53
I'm not sure if it is because I live in the heart of the USA or not, but for as many years as I can remember there hasn't been one time that any number of versions of the damn game hasn't littered the local computer store shelves.

None taken. Kids have a tendency to take up a great portion of one's day/night/life, especially when they're very young & you're a single mom. This results in having absolutely no time for gaming; you don't dare go check out PC games in the stores because you know you're not going to have any time for them; so why make yourself miserable. It's not like I didn't know about the game or had never heard of it - of course I knew; it's that I'd never heard/read a comparison (to Thief) made by someone who'd actually played both. That's all I wanted to know; how it (or they) compared to Thief. Guess I should have done a search in the forums before I asked. My thanks to those who answered my questions.
