Woah! Great! :D
Me! Me! I want to come! I'm new here and maybe a tenth as active as in the German forums but still... I would love to make new friends. :)
Am I allowed to come?

I'm afraid I'm too busy with work to participate.
Anyway, what exactly happen in a Thief meet? Like, uh, playing Thief? I'm just ignorant, but I can't remember last time I played a single player game at a LAN...

Usually, a restaurant is chosen to meet at. Lunch or dinner. It all depends, that is what usually happens. If its a longer weekend type thing, more is planned, site seeing a bit, etc.

Hmm well if more than 8-10 people turn up then, a resturant, and some site seaing could be very easily planned..

I haven't seen anyone go out of their way so much to help random strangers from the internet improve their hardware. Not basing that statement just on hosting this meet. :p

Well were not really random, we all play a cult game, and no one else is gonna help us keep the community going but ourselfs, but I appreciate the sentiment.. :cheeky: :thumb:
Anyway.. are you coming along..?

As I said, I'm all the way out here in Canada, and my commitments prevent me from traveling too far from here.
I'd love to be there though, the only taffer I ever knew in real life was my media studies teacher. Most of my gamer friends are either not into games like Thief or complain about it looking old. :erg:

As a general rule of thumb I try never to avoid an event that advertises 'free beer.' That said I live in Ireland and could only skip the water if it was summer time. Great idea by the way and full credit to BikerDude for hosting, especially given the 'rumour' that most thief meets end up like a 1970's hotel after the Who have been in town.
If I can't make it, Nameless Voice you up for a two man Irish taffing session?
