I was watching a recent episode of heroes when a scene jumped out at me with its inadvertent thiefness.

Notice the potted plants on the window sill - one of which has withered. The sword-carrying tail casts a silhouette in the green glass via the light behind him. At that instant, the familiar sound of locks becoming undone and doorknob turning can be heard. The door opens, the character enters, complimented by a soundtrack which further inspires the sense of mystical fascination so commonly encountered in Thief. The two tails watch from outside the window as he converses with another, completing the element of voyeurism.

scenes like that make me want a thief film. sort of. i just want a film that would retain the flavour and quality of the games. is that too much to ask of the dream factory?

Is this a screenshot from that movie? Which one is it? That shot really looks like it were taken from a Thief level or promo material. :)

It's from an episode of The Heroes tv show.
I really like the light-scattering effect on the uneven glass. And that green/blue color.

I would've loved Bergman to do the Thief film. Maybe Lynch could pull it off... he's good at eerie atmospheres.
