I am sure many of us would like to 'do' Vicktoria. -ahem-
anyway, Given what we have seen with Sin City and Sky Captain, a pseudo-animated movie inspired by the original RustMonkey T:tDP game would be doable. I keep thinking of something like a darker atmosphere of City of the Lost Children. A healthy visual serving of Sin Vity, and seasoned with vertigo, on a RustMonkey platter, a side set salad and dressing of Bram Stoker's: Dracula. Story and scripting are much more important though, otherwise the meal is ruined.

is it me or are some thief 1/2 sounds in that movie, isnt that copyright infringment etc...?
Hecatæus on 1/6/2005 at 21:31
not if they are drawn from the stock libraries of sounds. eg the 'Wilhelm' scream

Personally, I think a recognizable but not famous cast would be a better idea for a Thief film. Odd as it may sound, I got to thinking that Amy Acker might make a good Viktoria.
I had the perfect Constantine in mind, too... until he died, that is.
Put a real damper on the casting game, I gotta tell ya.

Victoria never struck me as beeing that thin.
I agree about the unknown cast, though. The veterans only look as themselves, not their characters anymore. You go to a movie to see Orlando Bloom play someone you never remember, and when discussing it later you refer to the character as Orlando Bloom, not Legolas, even though the movie was pure fiction. (I haven't bothered seeing any Bloom movie after LotR)

Aye, friend of mine was watching an episode of Angel where she was playing a godlike character with rather wooden movements. I was just struck by the similarity.
And in case you were wondering, the guy I thought would have made the
perfect Constantine was David Hemmings:

I've always felt Julian Sands would make a great Garrett.
Isn't he too big though? He's playing Juggernaut in X3... Garrett isn't a big guy.
He does have the right face for it though.

I'm not sure that would be an issue in a movie. He's not Andre the Giant.
