well worth the download wait.
im so glad you got rid of the flourescent blue bit for the "real game", that was one of the worst part of DS. the way it kept switching from third to first person, and the bits with the mechanical eye were just class!
only a minor quibble, it just seemed a bit too bright. Im guessing any darker would make it impossible to see what was going on, tho. And even tho its a poor engine, you did a great job of portraying the game.:thumb:
Just please dont take 3 months to release part 2, or i may scream with agony!

Yes, it was slightly too bright, I noticed that. The thing is that the first time I rendered the movie (rendering is when it puts everything together into 1 file) it took 6 hours. When it was done it was way to dark and you couldn't see a lot of stuff. So I made it brighter and rendered it again but it turned out too bright. So I rendered it again and this is the end product. I didn't want to wait another 6 hours just to make it slightly darker. I was afraid if I rendered it again it would be too dark and I would've had to render it AGAIN...

Thanks, BlackAlpha, I got a lot from that.
(I'm unable to play the game as I don't have a copy of it, yet, nor do I have computer to play it on. I'm typing this from a university library computer.)
Aside from the story and the gameplay, I'm able to see the cutscenes, instead of reading transcripts and descriptions of them. Also, I'm able to collect more names for the Thief Names and Thief Encyclopaedia projects.
Good job, and thanks again! I hope you are able to see this through 'til the end.:thumb:

Decent little movie. It played better for me in Media Player than Winamp. Winamp it plays a bit choppy. Good job.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm gonna start working on the next part at the end of this week. I guess it's going to take me 2 or 3 weeks to finish it. So the ETA for the next part is about 1 month.

You sure it's corrupted? It's a .RAR file. Use a program like WinRAR (free) to open it. Then you must extract it like a .zip file. Close all programs while downloading, might help.
Thanks, I'l try that...:erm:

Whee! Finally got it to work! :D
Awesome, awesome movie! I loved the music in the credits... And I loved the constant shifting of camera perspectives. The time when Garrett was eyeing the pair near the church and then zoomed in on the map was just sooooo appropriate. I mean, it was just right. Just the thing...
My favourite part is a simple part...
Passing citizen: Evenin'.
Garrett: ... *briefly turns back and snatches the purse, continues walking*
Cracked me up.;) :laff: XDDDD
The ending of the first part was just at the right point, as well.
Can't wait for the next part.
