Alright. The last out of me, so people can continue their film discussion.
I have catched somewhere that viking blades were folded also. This made them, alongside Japanese blades, the most endurant ones. But since the vikings apparently had a lot more steel to work with, there might just be some merit to what you are saying about their 'superiority'.
The soft steel core of Japanese blades are supposed to be impact buffers, absorbing blows as well as making the blade lighter.
And I was under the impression that they were curved as a result of their inspiration from chinese sabers, and the fighting style they were designed for.
Yes, I know the samurai were versed in all three weapons (and more), and the sword was not primary among them until the Tokugawa period. However, it was undoubtedly the most versatile close-combat weapon they had.
You underestimate my knowledge of vikings. I am not a knowledgable person by any standards, but I am far from an ignoramus. And I still find them boring.

Well, that site just got into my daily-check list. :cheeky:
I don't want to sound offensive, but it seems your english and story would need some correcting to do (on the site). If you want some quick help on this issue, here is the place. We can put our brains together on recalling the details for the story, and those few misspellings shouldn't be hard. :)

If the screenshots are any indication, this project has good potential. It is IMO mostly a matter of how dark they can make it. Most fan films dont have that kind of technology available, so we'll have to see.
Did you see Garrett, btw. He looked like a friggin nazgul! Not to say it wasn't cool, but that's not exactly how I picture him in my head. Still, this got me really excited about this movie now.
