...but I wonder if there is any other songs made by thief fans.
I've only just arrived at the forums, but I thought I might as well mention this. In my final year of my music course at uni I composed a song cycle for baritone, piano and two percussionists using the scriptures from Thief 2. I needed to find some inspiration to compose a work for the final semester, so when I came across the scriptures I had copied from the Thief 1 and 2 games I was inspired straight away to compose the work.
I'm hoping to have the work performed in the second half of this year. Question is (and I hope someone can help me with this), if I was to have the work published then who would I seek to gain permission to use the texts from Thief 2?
I could give the whole description of the work if anyone is interested. I have a feeling some would be interested and some would be appalled that someone has done this but that happens as musicians and composers, and we do appreciate feedback from both sides of the fence. :thumb:

Ok, I know that it has been half a month, but now I have made ANOTHER thief-song.
You can listen it (

Don't be too surprised... it's a bit... different...
And give feedback if you listen it. :)
EDIT: Ok now it's ogg.

Henri, please stick either to MP3 or OGG (encode with (
http://www.rarewares.org/ogg.html) OGGdropXP, I use it as well). I don't want to install just another player for MP4.

Hey folks,
I've made a little ambient thiefly thing. Can anyone recommend an app to convert an .aif file into mpeg?
Henri The Hammer on 17/3/2006 at 05:26
I use (
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/) dBpowerAmp, it cannot convert aif file to mp3 (unless you buy a license to it) but it can convert it to ogg, wav, mp4, wmw etc. without license.

Hello friendlies,
I finally got around to converting one of my atmosphere experiments to MP3. Most of my doodles are moody and ambient but, in my opinion, this one comes closest to being 'thiefly'.
Regards
dool.
(It's 1.9MB)

That sounds great! :D Which program did you use to create that?
So I'm not the only one making thief music, I'm just the only one making weird thief music.
