I really like the "Thief" games and stortline, it draws me in, i feel all mysterious and such when i hear Garrett's past, and his storys. I have never played number 1 of "Thief" or number 2, only Deadly Shadows. I hope they come out with a number 4. Does anyone know where i can find the entire history of the "Thief" games? i want to hear and see Garrett's past and storyline. I am writing poems too, so read em after i send them in on "thief-thecircle.com" this will be later on though.

Apparently this will be the last Thief with Garrett. That's what I read somewhere. Eidos want to move it into a more modern and that probably means more technological era. Probably meaning gadgets and trying a bit of a Splinter Cell slant. This was what I read a few weeks after Ion Storm was shut down.

It was in pre-production before Ion Storm went out of business, but the guy who was in Charge of Eidos at the time is now gone....so it could someday return...but hopefully remain true to the series.
@Dane-The-Thief
You should definately play Thief 1 and 2 for the full Thief experience. Thief 3 was a very good game, but nowhere near the level of excellence of the first two.

go buy thief gold and thief 2. you can get both off ebay, and i think eidos still sells copies of thief 2.

yeah if you liked Thief3 you will love Thief 1 + 2, I think the cutscenes alone are far superior in those.

Started with TDS myself, and I have to agree. Definitely play the first two, especially The Dark Project.

some of the cutscenes in thief 3 were great; unfortunately, the animation quality goes way down the further along you get.

ah, yes. yeah, that disappointed me.
maybe someone would be bored/kind enough to make cutscenes themselves? they probably wouldn't work in-game, but still. it'd be cool if they were in the same sepia-tone like they used to be.
