Most, if not all, of the Zombies can be "Ghosted" past in this mission. The burricks also can be if you pace them and yourself.
The spiders are a problem, but the large one near the drawbridge, is a "Wait and he will kill himself".
You will find more use for the canal later. :)

I'm going to continue now, sorry for the delay.

From my alcove, I sprint across, before the zombies can come. I see a path next to a large mound of earth- I take it, and cross a bridge. To one side is a circular room. I head in there, as use a rope arrow to get to the chest, which contains holy water. Back the other way, there's a single Burrick trying to run away from me. I can't risk it giving me away to the zombies, so I chase it down and stab it repeatedly. Continuing on, I see something patrolling. I dowse the torch, then, believing the walking creature to be a crab-thing, I shoot an arrow at it. Five arrows later, and it isn't down- getting closer, I see that it's human of some sort, but those voices are just creepy. Two flash bombs later, and the thing is gone.
Well, looks like I found the Cathedral.

Finally finished. I must say, trying to figure out where that mansion is was quite a task. It's basically hidden away in the middle of nowhere at all. And those skeleton guards were pretty creepy, with their red robes.
Mages Guild up next. I'll play it on Hard.

Ah. The Serpentyle Torc.
Get acquainted with The Eye, did you?
The Mage Towers has a known glitch for a few people. I've only played the level once, so far, and had no problems (other than my lack of finesse). Save your game right before you enter the Tower of Air, in a real save slot (not a quicksave), and don't overwrite it until you are done with the Air tower. Apparently the bug occurs when you first set foot inside it, and it involves disappearing "elevators". I can't say why most people don't have the problem, at least most of the time, while some do.
This is according to advice given by Kamyk and others, and I wouldn't know if it works, or not.

And what a right bastard it was to find.

I'm starting to learn to accept things at face value in this game. I imagine that I am experiencing a similar sensation to someone who gets extremely high and starts hallucinating, yet accepts everything he sees.

Thanks, I am the type who will quite easily screw up my own game in such a manner :thumb:

Now the fun part: interpreting the "clues" and "opening" the doors.
Those "spectres" can be done in with a "Backstab", bye the way. Sneak up behind, give them a full overhead swing with the sword. Sometimes a single blow will put them down (they vanish as a puff of smoke) sometimes it takes two, one overhead and one good hit when they bend from the first one.
Like Arnold says, to paraphrase, "You will be back!" :ebil:

Seeing as there is a separate symbol for each element, I figure I have to steal the Talismans and attach them to the door.
Thanks for the advice.
Tomorrow, construction begins on an addition to my house, and the room with the router is being demolished. I'll see if I can piggyback a connection off the neighbors, or failing that the router will probably be set up again tomorrow, but if we can't put it in another room then we'll have to get a Verizon tech out here and that could take weeks. I'll continue playing and save my experiences in Word, but until this is sorted I may not be posting for a while.
Thanks everyone for your continued support.

So not only is "our show" on hiatus, you will be without further advice or trivia. Your next mission will be a very different experience than if you were still playing Dark Project, instead of Gold. There would've been lots of craymen, and you'd have to get two talismans. You can still go where the other talisman used to be, for the loot and adventure. The story's been modified a bit, too.

Oh, but in the event of a delayed connection at least we can look forward to lots of good reading when the connection is re-established. And a big thankyou goes out to to catbarf, of course. Best of luck, and happy taffing!
In the meantime TTLG is still accessible wirelessly:

Pity there's no login functionality, though.
