Don't worry, I imagine I can get a connection off of my next-door neighbors.
These are folks who, when their son asked for a gaming computer, bought a system with 1GB RAM and integrated graphics. They also have difficulty distinguishing between left- and right-click, and don't know when to single click or double click.
Craymen, eh? So I guess when I called them crab-men, I wasn't far off :D
Curious- in TDP, is the talisman I am about to get on a different level or something? I seem to recall reading that the mage towers are not in TDP.

TDP had two missions with two talismans each. Thief Gold has four missions with one each. Mage Towers and Song of the Caverns are two of the three additional missions in Gold, and both involve getting a talisman.

Makes sense, although on the map the four talismans were very distant from each other, so it's weird that there would be two to a level...

The map was redone for Thief Gold, of course. There are only two actual talisman locations on the TDP version of the map.

Well, it seems that the router installation went perfectly- and it seems that I'm playing too much Thief.
You see, I just came in the house, but the people here don't know it. I sneaked past the work crew :D
And the router is sitting in a different room, so I guess it went as planned.

Before you know it, you'll have another entry for the "1000 clues that you have been playing thief way to much ..." thread.:laff:

Yes. Lots of tweaking to the stories to compensate. Although, I feel bad that two Keepers on expedition got cut out completely, instead of giving them a different task. One of the few instances where
Thief Gold removed something rather than added.
I only have TG. Have things really changed much to warrant seeking out TDP and replaying? I never played the original. Is there a concise list of changes between the two?
jtr7 on 21/4/2008 at 20:19
No concise list (I'm working on it only as I discover things while looking for something else), but many general lists. As a fan, I have both Dark Project and Gold, since they represent different experiences, different sentimental values, and historical values. Since it's so subjective, I suggest playing TDP before buying it, to see how it strikes you.

This is so fun to listen to, mostly due to the fact that I've played this
of course, and seeing your thoughts are funny in accordance.
:D I guess that didn't sound too good the way I said that but
couldn't think of a better way to explain.
