Being by the ocean, one could say The City has no shortage of salt.:cheeky:
Now there's a thought.
I find the Thief world quite interesting. It seems to have a little bit of a steampunk influence, which is a nice juxtaposition with the Middle Ages setting.

Glad you aren't turned off by it.

Yeah, I figured it would be pretty loud, but not so much that it would be impossible to sneak up on a guard. I'll experiment with moss arrows perhaps. Do the guards freak out if they see moss on the ground? Do they freak out if they see the arrow hit and turn into moss? And does shooting the arrow make noise?
Moss arows go completely undetected by AI. The arrows don't make any sound detectable by the AI, and the AI don't notice that they're suddenly walking over moss. You can shoot it right at them, and they won't notice (It also won't do anything to them) They're completely safe to use =)
In T3, you can shoot a moss arrow at someone's face and make them choke, but mweh.

I vaguely recall there being vials of holy water you can carry with you to bless your water arrows. Is this true, or am I remembering funny?
You are correct. You can bless your water arrows for 30 seconds. It takes 2 holy water arrows to destroy a zombie or ghost (1 if they're already lying down). And like someone else said, tehre's also fountains which can bless your water arrows. Note that Fire arrows, Land-mines, and FLASHBOMBS also hurt undead =)

Thanks, I think I'll be using them quite a bit.

Flashbombs! I knew I'd eventually find a use for the things :cheeky:
Thanks for the help!

Try the crouch, creep method, sliding across the floors, metal or tile, silently. It can be done. I use it all the time, it will help save on your moss. I rarely run out of supplies, main thing I use is water.
As for that crouch, creep. Try hitting the shift key along with the "W" key. Tapping the w key as you go, for a few seconds, you glide across the floor. It works. Find a place to practice that somewhere, it does work.
Hell, I just realized thats for T2, been so damn long since I played gold, it should still work, unless someone says otherwise.
Next, try a frontal blackjack, Hah, they start jabbering, and down they go. My daughter says, "How do you do that?" Skill......

Today I decided to play Down In The Bonehoard.
And did something very stupid.
You see, the first thing I saw when I began was that corpse in front of the crypt. So I decided to go take a look at it.
When it suddenly got up, I jumped, my mouse got hurled a few feet, and my brother spastically launched himself backwards in his chair, ending up on the floor.
Okay... so I've learned not to go near the corpses. I swiftly walk over and find a rope waiting for me. From the top of the rope, I see a zombie. All of a sudden, it starts moaning and clustering around the bottom of the rope. Deciding that I have no other choice, I get out some holy water and shoot it.
So I start walking around the crypt, looting occasionally. Eventually, I come to a room with a healing potion on a wall. It gets my vote for 'least subtle trap ever', because the pressure plate under it is plain as day. I grab the potion, but see up ahead that there's a corpse on the floor. Inching near, I see water on the left. I just ran, straight into the water, past the zombie.
This was when I learned a very important fact about zombies: They can be outrun and avoided, all I need is a ledge, water, or rope.
I continue through the crypt, easily avoiding the extremely obvious spear-holes on the wall for the trapped treasure chests, and then the pressure plate at the floor of the ladder.
And now, I'm in a Burrick-infested hellhole out in the middle of nowhere. Funny, they look a lot stupider than I remember...
Oh well.

Hehe i never really understood why grown people find the zombies scary. I mean when I was little I probably would have (I didn't like the scrags and going underwater in quake) but the zombies are sooooo slow you can easily outrun them - and I'm not even talking cheating to outrun them be bunny hopping. You can also outrun all guards - just that if you kind of just run around with guards chasing you it takes a lot of the fun out of the game. Crikey I forget how boring it must be to just ko everyone or kill them - then the levels are super boringly empty.
Anyway yer those traps are like the "poorer" nobles ones ;) naturally they aren't much kop, but still nice. Wait till you get to the alarus extension ;) see what you find in there.
On a serious note, if you are playing on medium or expert (preferably expert) you will come across some nice traps :P I dunno which you come across on medium but expert will give you both ;) Where as I don't think it's accessible on easy.
The erm "horn" trap is quite nice in a thoughtful cunning sense, but doesn't tend to be that effective in reality ;) I like it though :D
Soon you will find your friend Felix.... be sure to thank him for his map :p

Excellent! Like I said, these early missions prepare you for what's coming. You learned a valuable lesson, there.
