Finally finished. I really didn't like that, rather repetitive and the population density was annoying.
The gameplay in Thief is like sex. It's great in a one-on-one in a dark room, but in a brightly lit corridor with twenty other people it starts to get awkward.

Now you can get back to the main story that was started with The Sword. So you will be starting The Haunted Cathedral to get The Eye, like before you installed Gold, right?:cool:

Yup, I might try my hand at running right on through The Sword, to see how fast I can beat it. The only problem is that Fraps makes my framerate drop to 25-ish, so it's very difficult to play.

Well, if you wouldn't mind a little/big sidetrip, there's an extra bonus area added to that mission. You could make a savegame once you get to the Garden. It's worth it. But you could also keep it in mind for another time, of course.

I'm hardly a Thief newbie, but I finally got round to doing return to the cathedral tonight. I'd been putting it off for ages, often skipping it, because it's just so damn scary. I won't spoil anything for you, but trust me when I say it's bloody scary.

How's about a little hint. Need to look for some water, go swimming along some canals, water ways. Look for a separate room, that room 4 columns. Hop out of the water, check those columns carefully. Without firing it up, I'm sure someone else can pinpoint an exact location of it. I know I'm close.
