Hey all. I was just wondering if there have been any thief novels published. I know that several games have novels or novel series written for the game. But I've never seen anything for Thief. I've always loved the Thief setting and storyline since I first started playing TDP years back, and I'd love to read a novel in the Thief World. Thanks in advance for any info.

Nope.
All you'll find is Fan-Fiction and homages. The Fan-Fiction is free (made by fans, not for money, avoiding copyright issues....) and the homages by professional authors are within stories that will cost you something.

No i've heard nothing of Thief ovels but tell m more aout other videogame series having them.
I've read the Resident Evil books. Thought they were brilliant. Heard of Halo books as well but not particularly interested in reading them.

Some Fanfics are really interesting while some others are funny,
and can I ask a question... "The Keeper" doesn't seemed to have finished, why?

Fall of Reach? Kiddie? Have we even read the same book??
I find the Halo books to all be extremely well-written. Very Tom Clancy-like. I've read the first Resident Evil book as well and also liked that. I think a Thief novel would be wonderful.

I've written one - and even found a quite popular game-novel-publisher.
Then the enquiry went to Eidos - and there it will lay under a big barrow of other unread enquiries until all time ends. RIP. :D

If you're sure there's no hope of that (I've tried it too) you should post it online. The circle has a large fanfiction section which hasn't seen a major addition in a very long time.

I would love to. Trouble is, it's completely in German.
If someone would like to translate 38 chapters (more than 420 average book-pages) he may absolutely do so.
I tried but disgracefully failed.
I was very surprised when I found out that there was a Russian translation of it already on darkfate. I was lucky Xionus just took the time to do it - hell of a lot of work. :thumb:
A regular German-English translation would cost me at least 5000€ (7025.25 US Dollar) - and I was told, that was very inexpensive. :D

If we hosted it at The Circle in german along with a help-wanted ad for translation, maybe someone would give it a shot. Of course I don't think anyone on the staff has time to put something that big into HTML either!
