@T.M.T ....do you have GS's custom scripts installed?
Yes, as I stated on page 2 of this thread. Why would a safe and a keypad being unfrobbable have anything to do with custom scripts? I am pretty ignorant when it comes to scripts, but these are things contained in OMs and many other FMs and I've had no problems ever frobbing/opening/picking any others ever before. I don't understand why only two people are having this problem. Aside from the devscripts which I installed yesterday to no avail (I did reload T2 in Darkloader and restart after installing the devscripts), I've had every update possible for playing Thief OMs and FMs - Gaylesaver's scripts, telliamed's scripts, all patches, dedx, etc.
My last option seems to be to restart the mission. If I have any luck I'll update.

@That Miserable Thief: I've sent you a PM which may help.

maloo, I restarted the mission and everything worked fine. I don't know whether the DevScripts fixed it or restarting the mission fixed it, but I already had the UsrScripts installed for a long time.
You have PM, ffox.
EDIT: maloo, it seems that T2X removes the darkhooks.dlx file from the T2 directory. DevScriptT2_1x2BugFix.zip and UsrScriptT2_1x2BugFix.zip contain darkhooks.dlx (dated 11-2-03), so I'm assuming that (re)installing either AND restarting the mission is necessary.

@TMT: Installing the Dev scripts did nothing in and of itself - the Dev script oackage just contain more info for mission authors than the player packages do. However, as you already mentioned, doing so restored your darkhooks.dlx file, whose absence caused your problem in the first place. And the reason you had to restart is because your save game includes the state of the mission, including any custom scripts used (which in the case of that save were nonfunctional).

I've played through 5 of the 7 so far... and they are looking good :D I plan on playing through all them again before the voting.
My two fav's so far are Rosaries are Red and The Last Gleaming of the Rising Sun. I just like the level of detail in those two, and the ambience they produce. :thumb:

I haven't even finished playing "The Bank Job", and just had to say a big fat, "WOW"!
New objects, realistic lock picking, and just plain reasonable clues make this a great mission.
Whoever this mission author is, they are WAY up there with the masters, in my humble opinion! :thumb:

I've played them all through once now, though I wasn't able to finish Evandale because of a loot shortage. That seems to be the theme of my weekend! :tsktsk: Despite the bugs that turned up, I found it quite interesting with an excellent storyline and a surprising underground section that was well done for such a small space. I will probably play them at least one more time each before voting.
They are all well worth playing, some better than others as usual in a contest, but good first efforts. Thanks to all the authors for their hard work! :thumb:
One question about Evendale (besides my missing loot): There's a key locked behind a gate in town. I got the key but never figured out what it opens. Does anyone know?

So many new missions! Great!
I started with A bank job and have the same problem as A Miserable Thief and maloo - can't frob the numbers in the bank. The jeweller's safe doesn't highlight, so I can't open it, and I can't grab the purse in the secret in the inn room 2 :( Perhaps a problem with objects, that had been hidden? But otherwise a very nice mission. I'll try a restart now. :)
edit: hmm, restart didn't help. I do have the scripts but I'll reinstall them, perhaps that will help.
edit2: After reinstalling the scripts (normal player vers.) it works now. :thumb:

First of all I'll say this. All FM are very nice and playable. By my opinion the best of them is Evendale :thumb: If you have Dedx, please install it and play this extra FM! The only bug in this FM is bad package (missing Dedx objects). But this is great! Good work Anonymous!
