teemac,
maloo and I cannot pick the safe open, as it will not highlight. That is the whole problem. Your outlining of the steps is useless in this case because step 2 DOES NOT WORK, and YES I am standing close enough.
same with me.... i used my swoed on it and it opened but i couldnt frob anything in the safe...and i couldnt frob the numbers to open the safe in the bank, i think there was a couple of other things too...

I presume Evendale has been withdrawn?
ShadowWolf421 on 8/9/2005 at 08:47
i hope the Author of Evendale fixes it soon, with a few tweaks, this would be one heck of a mission. even if he or she doesn't make the deadline, finish it anyway so that the masses will have something to play later :)

There is a real mixed standard here. I was expecting a lot of very obvious "newbie style" FM's. Not masterpieces!

I agree with ShadowWolf about Evendale. It's terrific, even with it's flaws, so I hope a fixed version will be available soon.

Remember, "never released a FM" is not the same as "new to Dromed". :D
Until recently, talented folks like R Soul was an unpublished author. And Bumbleson and several others are still unpublished...

Me too.

Well, just played all of them =)
It was odd, but looking at my notes, there was ONE common mistake each author made: poor roombrushing. Like, you could hear a Ai that was a floor above you and in another room, but not the ai walking in the hall 2 feet from where you're standing. This (or other similar problems) was present in each of the Fms, except i beleive Evandale (go fig =) ) Actually, i don't think Serge bank had any problems with sound, either.
This probably had to do with the fact that you couldn't exactly make huge walls when you're crammed up for space, so a lot of walls/floors/etc were paper-thin.
Overall, bravo. I'm looking forward to most of these peopel putting out other missions, and hopefully can take the negative critisims with a grain of salt, and learn from teh experience.
Like whoever did Evandale: Great mission in most areas, but unfortunatly, you didn't package up a few things correctly. Next time, relase a beta to a few people =)

Room brushing is the single most frustrating thing I've yet to encounter working with dromed. Of course it doesn't help that I've made missions that are by nature very hard to room brush. Unfinished Business was a total bugger in that regard.
