Then whats OPDE then? Some little ideal fantasy?
Look, I know how complex the dark engine is. It's not that one can't do it, it's just that it'll take a while. The real step in recreating the dark engine is to hunt down some help for the project. Really, I can't say anymore on it because I myself am daunted by such work it would require. The fact of the matter is, OPDE is a reality, finding the Dark Engine source code isn't.

The only person here who keeps babbling on about the source code is you.

(

Sarcasm and you gotta meet up, sometime, ZB. You twit.
I'm sick of arguing. Heck, I'm not in an argumentative mood. But if I were, I'd stop right away after talking to you...
It's hopeless, complaining to a brick wall.
Albert on 8/5/2010 at 15:49
Heck, I've gotten all I needed from this thread. It's finished. I'm done, thanks for the help all who were helpful. ZB, go up yourself.

OK, I take that back... :erm:
I noticed that Darkloader requires a bit of configuration to get it working right. I figured out how to direct it to the game file, but FM files are a bit of a problem. I need it to look for the FM file in the darkloader source directory on the usb, instead of looking for drive (put letter here):\ as it most likely will fail at doing, because a different computer would give a different listing.Nevermind, I just went into Darkloader.ini and did this:
Quote:
[mission directories]
FM=1
Provided that you put a file called FM in the Darkloader directory, this'll work.
Albert on 8/5/2010 at 17:10
Oh damn. Hold on, when I click play in the darkloader directory, it says "can't load thief2.exe" something or other. Lemme try just pressing the game executable directly.
No, it doesn't work. How strange... The game works fine, but the FM files don't install even though I've directed Darkloader to the right file location. Heh, I'm betting this is a first time problem for people?

Sarcasm is when you intentionally say something that is the opposite of or very different from what you actually mean. Nobody has used sarcasm in this thread.
Also, learn to use the fucking EDIT button. TTLG is not a blog.
Albert on 8/5/2010 at 17:25
Facetious, then. You twat, I know how to use the edit button, I just prefer not using it. Also, just drop it, okay? I said I'm sick and tired of talking to you, now get a hint.
