Oh damn. Hold on, when I click play in the darkloader directory, it says "can't load thief2.exe" something or other. Lemme try just pressing the game executable directly.
No, it doesn't work. How strange... The game works fine, but the FM files don't install even though I've directed Darkloader to the right file location. Heh, I'm betting this is a first time problem for people?
Anyone know a solution to using Darkloader on a USB?

Facetious, then. You twat, I know how to use the edit button, I just prefer not using it. Also, just drop it, okay? I said I'm sick and tired of talking to you, now get a hint.
I know how to not talk to you, I just prefer not to not to.

(Ignoring ZB) Anyone have any ideas for putting Darkloader on USB? It was written in a code which I think is open, so a little modifying so it can work w/o dependence on specific directories or some problem it has would be helpful.

I've never experienced any problems with using darkloader, nor have I done anything more than installing it the standard way. Are you sure you have pointed darkloader to the right Thief installation?
I suppose the automatic drive letters can cause problems like that too, you could try to assign a permanent drive letter to the USB manually:
Control Panel -> Administration Tools -> Computer Handling -> Disc Handling -> Right click on the USB drive and choose "Change drive letter and paths". Choose a pretty high drive letter to minimize the risk for conflicts in the future.
(The names of the menu choices may not match exactly, I translated them directly from swedish)
