I think it should be interesting to start a thread where the personnages of the Thief world are illustrated.
I start with this:

I don't think that the Deadly Shadows' character models had more than 1 face, so Marla and Carmen probably look pretty much the same.

There's gotta be some limits and rules or you're going to get a whole lot of images that look similar, except for the background. If you take good screenshots, they could be used on the Wiki.

As interesting as I find this notion, all three games used a lot of recycled AI, so it could get a bit redundant. Also someone like Benny would end up with a few dozen pictures of different AI, unless it was strictly limited to the actual AI named Benny in one of the OMs. The voice for the character pops up dozens of times for various AI/faces.
Having a set specific AI image for the major players (Garrett, Bafford, Benny, etc) would be interesting though. And of course if you go with TDS there are a couple such as Artemus, Orland, or Dyan who don't seem to be recycled to my recollection, although it's been a while since I played TDS so I could be wrong there.

Dyan's face is the same as everyone's except for the reddish paint across her eyes, and Larkspur retained his tattoos from TMA. Widow Moira would be recognizable from her long bangs and sitting in that room. Lady Elizabeth would be recognizable, I think. They would all need to be in context. Lord Ember, Lord Julian, Morris the Cook with him, Orland looks like no other, same with Karras, Cavador, Truart, Basso, Cutty, Mosley, the Trickster, Farkus, Ramirez, and the only nervous servant in the older games carrying a tray--Joe (okay, his name is only known through DromEd). It would have to be the backgrounds that ID most of the supporting characters. Venik Kilgor and Brother Uriel. Captain Davidson. Quince and Jacow. Hal and Joss. Captain Markham. Lorna and Giles. Lily. Birch. And many many more!

I really support this idea, since I need references for my "artwork"... Especially for the garbs. So if someone could post piccies of Karras and Mechanists, they'd have my undying gratitude. ;)

There is an infinite number of Dyan's in TDS and I think she looked much better in T2. Did Larkspur have the same tattoos in TDS? I don't remember since I never woke him up. The lord Embers and Julians walk in the street all the time since they all have the same models, they don't differ too much from eachother. Morris the Cook sometimes puts some translucent fake moustache on and walk around in Stonemarket. And why is it that all the women in the game, nobles and servants are utterly indistinguishable? (Except the scurvy pirate/robber/junkie whores who sound like witches)
