I think this is awesome, but shouldn't it be revised a bit? I mean, it mentions packaging the source code when "thief 3 gets released"... uh, thief 3 already is released.
and somewhere I read someone saying that we should contact a exec directly, which i think is a great idea. maybe give them a link to the petition too, to show that lots of people signed it and want the source released and whatever else.
oh, and i signed it already lol... im # 723

This petition is years old by now. I seriously doubt we'll ever see the source code released guys. It's probably lost by now.

We can hope, can't we?
BTW, I signed the hell outta that thing. 733 and goin on strong!

I wouldn't call 733 signatures "going strong" ;)
Assuming that all of these 733 signatures are individual people, and each of them is prepared to pay a single fee of the value of an up to date full game prize (which is approx. 50 Euro) you would get together 36000 Euro. I doubt that any manager would authorize developers to spend their time on looking for the code and preparing it for release. And this are pretty good upper limit assumptions, because I think there are certainly people who signed more than once, and many people wouldn't be prepared to pay this little for the release.

Nay-sayer. ;)
Annnd... Care to convert that to USD? I'm assuming Eidos would prefer that currency considering their an American company... :cheeky:

Money is money. ;)
According to Yahoo, it would be about 50.000 USD.

Also, this petition is around 4 years old now. If it were to ever make a difference, it would need to be in the thousands to get any type of attention. :erg:
