Don't kill, only K.O.(and only when necessary). No saves in-mission, and I don't buy anything on the loadout screen.

Contrary to the hardcore thieving game, I'm quite ready to knockout or kill opponents just for the purposes of speedily running through the map when I can't find my objective. I'm also the sort that will happily quicksave around every corner just because I am incredibly anal about not repeating sections. Largely because of this, i'm quite happy to take frequent risks. I like the idea of playing it perfectly and not saving and all but it would likely result in me throwing the game away as soon as I had to repeat a part more than 3 times.

And by "frequent risks" you must mean things like trying to jump across 30-foot chasms with only 1 rope arrow between, trying to position yourself so you land on a torch after leaping from a tall guard tower, and things of that nature, right? I love doing that, especially when i got archers firing after me, makes me feel like jesus. I'm like "Ahahahaaa!! I have the Magical Bag of Hammerspace, I can leap large chasms whilst carrying enough loot to crush Castle Carslyle!! P434R M3 4 1 15 1337!!"

I'm currently trying to go through both T1 and T2 in an "assassin" mode. No blackjack or gas arrows. No knockouts whatsoever, unless the mission on normal wont allow it. Not even a blackjack to be killed later in a dark corner. It's hard!

How does that "assassin style" ? Sounds more like lytha way (no damage dealt/received)
Myself, I am a ghoster. I absolutely enjoy sneaking around the manors and mansions while the inhabitants are blissfully unaware I am there.
No dousing of torches, no doors left open, keys returned, all that stuff...
That's why I enjoy missions like LotP, Framed and especially Assassins.
I think I ghosted all of the OMs.

I usually knock out everybody I can find, and then I try to fulfill the missing objectives. :)
I tried to ghost, but I simply don't have the patience for it. :cheeky:

Forgot to say that instead of knocking out people, I kill them. And I try not to leave any alive.

So it's more of a "butcher" style, then?
Here's a question in relation to that:
Is it physically possible to kill the Trickster in T1? I mean does he have a value for his healthpoints, or is he flat out invincible?
jtr7 on 5/11/2007 at 20:32
Off the top of my head, I think he has...what...999 hit points?
More HP than you can zero-out without cheating, anyway.

So you can't just hose him down with mines and fire arrows and then go in for the sword kill? If you had enough health potions, then you might be able to counteract his magic damage, and circle slashing would let you avoid his fireballs. A challenge then! To all you taffers, the first man to kill the Woodsie Lord, let the race begin!
or not, and let's all laugh at the noob suggesting this
