I forgot that this is a world where there are people ready to pay someone to record lines for the exclusive use of a company that already charges you to hear those lines. Which would be even funnier if the game ultimately sucked.

I would rather hear a statement from Russell in the lines of "the fuck you guys are smoking?". Even if they garnered enough money for it, I wouldn't think Russell would want to record those lines for the new Thief.

In most generated planes of existences, this game will be nothing like Thief. If lucky, it will be perhaps a little like Dishonored. Looking at some screenshots of the supposed game, they need to cut back on the lightning. And most likely, it will be clunky as hell, with push button to backstab/blackjack (if there even is a blackjack), while you wait out the animation the rest of the guard has spotted you (or not, depending on the dumbed down solution for todays console market, guards will have an effective range of a solid snake guard).
So, yeah. I will be needing Russells voice for Garrett to soothe my rage.

Nope. No blackjack. They took it out and gave Garrett an extending dagger. No water arrows, either.

In one of the screenshots or concept art he's striking with some kind of leather billy club that looks like the equivalent of a blackjack... Or is that the un-extended form of an extending dagger? There's also wind arrows that knock out torches, so it's the equivalent of a water arrow.

As far as I can tell, he doesn't have a blade of any kind. Just the bow and the blackjack. And water arrows do look to be in the game judging from one of the screenshots.
