I keep seeing people on a number of forums discuss Thief 4 with comments about being a promising assassination game. I think the idea of a game where you don't kill anyone is really anathema to the expectations of a lot of today's gamers.

It's kinda a sequel, and it's kinda a reimagining, and it's mainly kickstarting the franchise in a mainstream way, or as they put it, "for today's console market".
