Out of curiosity, how much trouble is it to port the brushwork from one version to the next? I fantasized about entering (as i do with every contest) but I imagined that it would be a
major pain.

It is alot of work and alot of errors to deal with. If you search my old posts, you will find my instructions on porting. Go for it, as something new in the T2 world is always welcome.:thumb:
If you cant locate the post easily, pm me and I will send you some instructions.
I think you mean (

Thankyou Yamatotakeru, yes there was a bathroom in the upper bar room but the brush count, object count and palette count were too high to keep it. I guess the Drinking Taffers will have to go around the corner now.:laff:
Thanks Intruder, yep thats the post. :thumb:

Thanks guys!
It sounds pretty simple... too simple :sly:...

Don't worry, DromEd will take care of it not getting simple :laff:

:laff: Just dont give up, if you dont succeed the first few times. The important thing is to set your grid in a new dromed to the same grid size as the one you want to import. Use the commands to grid snap and go straight to Optimize, and then process fully. :)
I made a youtube video showing the Enhancement Pack in use. Notice the Locks, Barrells and the Loot. This is only an introduction and there are some spoilers shown. Russ, you make an excellent
High Priest and a Bar Tender. (Bartender not shown in this intro) Spoiler videos

I had originally thought about making it a TG mission, but the Idea of the Thief Reloaded Contest was to add to it. I couldn't find any TG textures I liked in that OM, except Ramirez Interior, and Church and Temple. It would have been easier to have left it original, but since alot of people have already Played Assasins long ago, and with T2 and T3 out, I didn't feel like many would show any interest. With the 7 TG missions I made, according to download numbers, there isn't much interest in Thief Gold with the General Gaming Crowd.
Don't pay attention to download numbers. I love T1 missions very much, often even much more than T2 ones. Just like many others, I'm tired of enhanced grafic, and I prefer missions, which remind old creepy feelings while playing the game first time, dark missions painted with original textures. For instance there's nice mission The Order of The Vine, it uses a few custom textures, but it's still classic mission, loved by many taffers. Another good example is Broadsword of Sheol, generally original textures, but the atmosphere itself is the creepiest among T1 fms. :D I would prefer replaying this fm more than 10 ones for T2.

If someone else were to Port the map to T2 and make their own TG style fm, that would be great too. :cheeky:
There're very few T1 missions, and a new one in classic style should be pleasant. Why necessary T2? :erg:

Why necessary T2? :erg:
Please, don't let there be another "T1 vs. T2" again. We already had enough of such discussions.

Yes, this is the last time I want any debate over TG/T2 also. My mission has nothing to do with the metal age !
Winter Cat, Look at this mission as a Tg mission, why not? Do you see anything besides the City Watch which is Thief 2 the metal age ? Do you see any mechanists, Robots ? I have always liked thiefy play, and still like the original Thief stories, and this why I always try to include the Past Stories with a Continuance. I added two complete sets of Guards Voices, as well as 1 complete set of Thief voices from T3, to give it something added, that no one else has done before. Hope you can see my point here. The only thing I dont like about TG, is the editor Dromed v1.37, thats all !

Unfortunately this mission doesn't remind me TG, though it's based on Assassins. Completely new mission with another non-T1 atmosphere.

[...] Completely new mission [...]
Exactly, this is what the contest was all about.
And this is what darthsLair has accomplished, in a very fine way :thumb:
