I´m pretty well versed with FM selector so I know for 100 % that it is not installed there anymore. If I dont like a FM or know I won´t replay it, I always delete them so that I keep an overview of the missions. When I delete them, I first uninstall them in the fm selector and then delete the Zip.file in the file where my FM-Zips are stored.
I do know now where the error comes from though. It´s not the FMselector, its the darkloader. Back when I started I had a bug in this FM and tried to find out the cause of the bug. I thought that it might be because of the fm selector. I have the darkloader installed on my pc and so I installed the FM with darkloader aswell. Funnily later I found out it was not the cause for the bug but because I had to downgrade to 1.27b patch. But now I have yet another bug because of the darkloader :'D
Aaaand I´m 100% sure with my assumption, because I had the same problem with the FM "bloody ruins" - the only other FM I also ever installed on darkloader. So the problem occurs when I install a FM with darkloader and then open any other mission with FM selector.
So my question is, where do I find the FM files in darkloader? While I´m well versed with FMselector, I have zero knowledge of either darkloader or newdarkloader:erg: I don´t even know where I have to start for deleting files or anything related to the bug or maybe it´d be a good idea to deinstall darkloader completely? It might remove the remaining files of complicated cargo? What do you think?

So, you installed the mission with DarkLoader, but did never uninstall it again with DarkLoader? That would explain your problem (although I would then expect an "intrface" folder still being present in the Thief 2 (NewDark) main folder).
Make sure that the "Complicated Cargo" zip file is present in the folder where DarkLoader expects the missions. Start DarkLoader again. See whether the "Complicated Cargo" mission is installed (=made ready for playing) there. Once again, this does not just mean that it's in the list of FMs there, but that it has been selected for playing.
If the mission is ready for playing, deinstall it by selecting the Thief 2 original missions for playing in DarkLoader again. Leave DarkLoader. Start NewDark with FMSel again and try playing a mission. If you're lucky, the selected mission should come up with the starting screen one expects instead of the one from "Complicated Cargo".
If all this works, then the problem occurred because of installing a mission with DarkLoader, but not uninstalling it again with DarkLoader as well.
FMSel, NewDarkLoader and AngelLoader all install a FM in a folder in "FMs" in the Thief 2 NewDark main folder, and not in the NewDark folder itself. DarkLoader, however, installs FM files in the Thief 2 NewDark main folder, and uses a rather complicated process to replace all files of the original game with files from the FM if necessary. This includes a FM's starting screen. Only once you uninstall a FM in DarkLoader, it does restore the Thief 2 installation again. And if anything goes wrong during this process, the feces are hitting the fan, so to speak.
That is why many people advise against using DarkLoader today. All this hurlyburly with the files copied around by DarkLoader was necessary in the old days before NewDark, but once NewDark came, FMSel's approach (which was then "copied" or mimicked by NewDarkLoader and AngelLoader) was much better, and DarkLoader's approach lost its appeal.
If all this magic does not solve the problem, come back and tell us what happened. Maybe we'll be able to pull another rabbit out of our hats... but we may also run out of rabbits.
Deleting or uninstalling DarkLoader is most likely not a good idea before the situation has been mastered. Better leave it installed for the time being.

Hell yes that worked! :D the problem really was as expected the darkloader. I checked the files in my thief 2 main inventory (since you said that is where darkloader puts them) and there all the files of complicated cargo were still listed. So I manually deleted them (had to download the zip.file of complicated cargo again so as to see which files I have to delete) and then it was gone.
Thank you very much for your big help! :) And I do understand now why no one uses darkloader anymore. Installing the files of FMs in the thief 2 main inventory,- what the hell were they thinking?! It´s bound to create errors and bugs :'D

Well, that was not
exactly what I told you, but if you're lucky, nothing important will be missing from Thief 2 now.
And, erm... well, could it perhaps be the case that there were some files in a folder called "intrface" (maybe without an "e" in the middle), huh? If I'm not mistaken, intruder and I were writing about this... In fact, I could bet my ass on that the folder was there, if I didn't need my butt for sitting and sh... erm... shome ejection purposhesh.

"The FMSel way" of installing and running a fan mission is only possible since NewDark. "OldDark" lacks the ability to run a mission outside the game's main directory. Therefore, back in the old days, DarkLoader's way of doing things was "without an alternative", as our beloved chancelloress:ebil: in Germany tends to say. Today, however, the new approach on solving this problem has several advantages compared to the old ways. That's why I do recommend FMSel, NewDarkLoader or AngelLoader for missions today, although I usually don't put any effort in keeping people from using DarkLoader if they really wish to. It's their choice - although the choice of whether others want to help or not if DarkLoader messes up things is said others' choice. As you have seen yourself, it can get quite messy with Darkloader if things go wrong.

Nope, but it was (for me) the easiest way to handle it and even if sth. broke I just would have deinstalled and installed thief 2 main again and everything would have been back to normal again ;)
And nope, if you believe it or not, there was no file named intrface (with or without an "e"). There were like 4-5 folders/files that were the same as in the complicated cargo zip file and those I deleted. I´ve played about 3 other FMs since doing that and everything is back to normal. Thief 2 main I tested and it works normally too. Not that I play it lately with all those awesome FMs around:p
I´ve deinstalled darkloader now and I´m definitely not going to use it ever again. It´s just too messy and I would not recommend it to anyone since the FMselector is alot better, both surface and handling.

I'm using TFix 1.27d and playing this on Expert. After I board the craft with the third cargo, the one from the Shemenov Estate, things go awry. As soon as I put the bag on its plinth I'm immediately transported outside. I'm immobile while a longish voiceover cut scene occurs, the gist being that there's a bandit ship in the vicinity. When it finishes I can move again, and can see the bandit ship in the distance, but I have no new landing flare and no new objectives. I've explored a little and found there are some sort of zombie archers around. I've done the gen.osm switch indictaed in the first post. Is the game behaving correctly or has something gone wrong?

Sound like the mission isn't finishing, I haven't played this for years so can't remember how it actually finishes, but Squad's (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndvfH6O1WM0&list=PL4A3C8EFEBE108BE4) lets play shows the mission finishing at the end of the cut-scene on the last cargo ship.
Have you got a save just before (before any cut-scene kicks in) you board the final cargo ship (I assume the third one is the final one).

Ricebug's walkthough says the reavers will appear at this point, so that part is correct. I'm also only half way through in terms of objects to collect. I couldn't hear the cut scene very well, so I don't know if it contained clues as to what to do next. As I say, there's no new Objective. I'll play on a bit and kill a few of the newcomers and see what happens.

This glitch with cutscene happened to me as well when I played this mission couple of months ago. I still could finish it by putting flare near Bank and later near Hammerite Church, so it's not game breaking bug. But this glitch doesn't always happen, so I'm guessing you can reload game from before you put item in airship to fix it.
Also another small problem may happen during final cutscene - camera may freeze in place, so you will be unable to look around during it and you may not know what's going on. It's not game breaking as mission still finishes normally.

According to that video playthrough (in video 3), I'm supposed to get visuals in the cut scene and at the end acquire a flare for The Dayport Bank where I'm supposed to take the remaining collectables. That hasn't happened, so something is wrong.
