Thief Reloaded Contest FM: The Revenge of Lt Hagen by FireMage (05 Feb 2011) - by Sagittal

Well I've now finished it! And I'm very glad I persevered. :D
Thanks fibanocci - I was led astray by having to think about when to kill Sammy. And I didn't need to touch the bombs at all. They must have been unset as they didn't go off.
I didn't have much trouble in the Plaza, GS, it only crashed when I looked at the water and then looked away again.
[Edit] I just wanted to say how much I like the operation of the door handles. Not as helpful perhaps because I don't know whether a door is unlocked or locked but they act like real handles! And I have no idea why handles are so important to me, they just are. :)

Anyone found 1400 "Popularity"? I think some (loot) items are not available.
Sagittal on 9/2/2011 at 18:38
I found about 1450 but it's fairly well distribured around the site.
Did you get the ring in the dungeons by the guard body (room witn 2 scrolls)
or the bag in Narcotics next to Sherifif Mosley's office.?
Don't know if there was anything supposed to be in the secret opening bookcase in Records - when I opened it with my sword (couldn't find a switch) the passageway was empty .

I found 1582.
Note that various unusual items
(some scrolls and the poison plant) count for popularity !!!
Did you get the
mechanical eye in the training area ?Spoiler:

I think this is just a left-over from the original mission, which used to be opened by the
frobbable book nearby (with Mosleys key now inside).

Thanks gnartsch - and well done for being so popular :D.
The
Records bookcase does still count as a secret in the stats and I wonder then if FireMage intended it to? Or whether there is another one that I haven't got? I have (and remember from the original) the one in the
"Front Desk" entrance and the one leading into the water under the wooden walkway may well have been in the original too.

I am not sure whether I get you right.
On Expert there are
3 according to the stats and I found them all.
And according to your description you should have them too.
Do your stats say something different ?
Anyway, this is a mission that I will definitely replay later this month.
And see if there was something that I misunderstood or did wrong.

Aehm, I need a little help please, I've found a blackjack and a bow. But the sword?
Tons of swords are laying around but none is pickable.

Got a bit of a problem with this one.
There are 5 guards patrolling the streets together. If I bj or alert them I get a crash.
Anyone else found this ?

It is not the guards that make it crash. If you look into the end of the waterway on the other side the game crashes. Try blackjacking them where you won't accidentally look in that direction. After that, keep your gaze firmly on the ground or on the other side when you cross the bridge.
