And why won't anyone explain
how these bombs works? Lots of people have asked, but nobody wan't to reweal the answer?:confused::confused:
You'll get the bomb-objective after meeting
SammyIf you
kill him at once, you won't get the objective. No objective, no problems :p

karstenpontoppi, do you really mean Mosley, one of the blue-coated guards? You're not supposed to kill any of your "colleagues" or the mission will fail - but you can KO/gas them.
If you mean the 7th Red Gauntlet guy Malcolm - "The Mastermind" - who you obviously are allowed to kill, then I guess the Mission is failing because a bomb has gone off and maybe killed someone nearby without the Objective being marked (?) After killing Malcolm you do need to go to Sammy's boarded-up house with the key that Malcolm had and read Sammy's ledger, meet someone nearby and the mission should end. The same key that unlocks the room with the last bomb.
Nobody's explaining how the bombs work because sadly I don't think anybody knows and the suspicion is that they don't work properly. Maybe FireMage will help us!
I found that if I left the bombs alone completely - when they were invisible and when they were visible - they didn't go off. (Although I turned the last one off in the locked room in Evidence Storage - returned it to zero - as this was the only bomb that was set).

karstenpontoppi, I had several 'mission fails' without a specific reason - no red cross in an objective. It's worth trying to keep going though. I really enjoyed this fm despite all its problems.
And I too left the bombs alone in the end. They didn't get set as far as I can gather.

the bomb objective (suddenly, for no reason) unchecked again when I was searching for some more loot and the mission failed

Okay, two hours into this FM & so far I've managed to kill Zelir, Melinda, Alonso, & Logan. But I don't know where I'm supposed to go from here. I'd really like to avoid the bomb-thing if possible, seeing as how some taffers have had problems with that. Any hints, please?
P.S. Was Melinda supposed to be invisible?

According to GS if you kill Sammy who should be in the Front Desk area now, before he runs away and does his speech, you'll avoid the bomb sequence. As far as I can tell though, the bomb pic I showed above, shows the bombs in the unset position. All the bombs were like that so I didn't touch them and was able to finish without the bombs going off.
I'm not sure but I think you miss out on another objective if you don't do the bombs.
She has invisibility ability! She comes and goes a bit if you alert her.

She becomes invisible when alerted (she's always alerted and invisible even if she's dead

I think you missed
Bogdan.
He is supposed to be
near the mess hall. (a noble guy wearing red gloves which you can pickpocket). He might be hard to identify since you probably stole
his gloves already.

Thanks gnartsch, but I don't have any red gloves in my iventory and have gone around killing all the 'nobles' that I'd already KO'd (I've pretty much KO'd everybody in this FM so far), but none of them are Bogdan (since none of them turned out to be him, I've had to reload several times because I killed unarmed people :( ) . I've run all over Shoalsgate to no avail; I just can't find that guy.

You won't find the
gloves in your inventory since they were counted as 'loot'/reputation.
Instead of killing everybody, try picking the KO'ed bodys up.
The name should tell you if it is the person you are looking for.
Also make sure everybody with a name is
really dead.
EDIT: He is wearing
a brown shirt. There is at least one other AI looking similar.
Find the one that reads
'Bogdan, the Purse' if you pick him up.Not sure where else he might be running around in this mission, since I BJ'ed him right away as he ran past me.
My reflexes are pretty good somtimes.
