Well, I have killed Zelir with a mine through the metal wall. Is it supposed to be so? Sammy appeared in Main Desk area and run to the place not far from abandoned house. I don't understand much of what he says, but I got the objective to not let bombs explode. The unpickable chest can be now moved aside, I pressed gauge device and something exploded somewhere and mission fails. What am I doing wrong?

There's a
frobbable torch nearby which opens the wall.I'd like to know exactly what I'm supposed to do with Melinda apart from Tannar's 3rd version, or is that the only way to get back out again. Or does it matter where I kill her. I'm still not quite clear about the significance unless it's
only significant if you want to open the No Entry door. Just in case it might happen to others, 9 times out of 10, opening the metal door to the furnace room crashes the mission for me.

Mission was failing because of Mess Hall explosion, harming knocked out people. So beforehand I carried all of them from there far away and explosion hasn't harmed anyone. Then I found Malcolm on the third floor. But as soon as I enter the room with gauge device, again somewhere explosion happens, harms someone and mission fails again. Where does all those explosions take place?

nickie, it shouldn't matter where you kill Melinda although if you kill her or alert her before she gets inside the building (a time window of only ~ 10 seconds or so as she walks from the bridge to the building) the No Entry door to the dungeon area will not open automatically.
@Winter Cat, sounds like the bombs are blowing up and killing innocents somewhere nearby. I had to go back and clear bodies away from potential blast rooms :( .
If you have avoided frobbing the 4 invisible levers (the 5th is locked in the Evidence Storage area) - before meeting Sammy then I think you can leave those bombs alone as they wont explode on their own (:eww: :erm:) . I found it was only the ones I had frobbed before that exploded. If you're in doubt I think the bomb dial should show Zero ie fully anticlockwise, to be safe, but I am uncertain that's 100% foolproof. I replayed it and avoided frobbing any of the invisible levers associated with the little dials, left the bombs alone when they appeared and nothing exploded :p
Explosion Sites are by the small dials: (They're quite impressive explosions :D )
1 Sheriff Mosley's Office (on the desk)
2 Officers Lounge (the room near the telescope - under one of the tables)
3 The Barracks - under the chest
4 The Main Office under one of the desks
5 In the locked Room in Evidence Storage (need Malcolms key at end)

Well, explosions seem to be behind, but I have still two unfinished goals, to increase popularity to 1400, I got only 712, and to find info on Red Gauntlets' projects.

Sagittal, thank you. I seem to be progressing reasonably well now.
@ Winter Cat. The info you need is in the area you found Zelir.

Up in
Evidence Storage but only after your conversation with Sammy, I think.

I had this conversation, switched off 4 bombs but I can't get into the Evidence Storage

Check the floor of the big storeroom just off the Waiting Room and round corner from Evidence Storage door.
