'Tis a truly beautiful work. May Thief endure forever!

I think the fact that Thief is getting a new game is a pretty amazing testament to how strong Thief as a game and community is. 4 to 5 years after the last game, which saw a conclusion to a trilogy is now getting a new entry in this classic series without this additional title being an idea in developers ideas for most of this time. Just amazing.
And if you think about, this fact is even more amazing when you consider that the community's strength is not by quantity (like CnC and warcraft) but quality (exemplified by all of these advanced and high quality FMs made and enjoyed all over the community).

Yeah... now you have to explain why you ever uninstalled it.

Formatted, would never uninstall it!
Just never got around to reinstalling it again.

Why did you never get around to it...? :)
A very good article. Pleased about it, and then sent it to all my friends pestering them to play Thief.

I just hope the devs at EM read this text and have a clue what game they are making a sequel to.

This is how the game really looks most of the time. Nowhere will ever print a realistic screenshot of a Thief game, because it's all but pitch black. But Eurogamer is brave enough. And damn right.
Too true! :laff:
[edit]Although the standard "Oh no! Zombies!" complaint at the end is somewhat disappoining. Come on, they were cool... :tsktsk:
