Hey everyone
I believe I have a virus on my computer so I'll probably need to reformat my hard drive.
I can backup everything no problem except THIEF!!
Is there anyway to backup the thief saves including saves from fan missions so that when I can pick up from where I left off after I formatted my computer without starting everything all over again? :erg:

Select the game (TDP-TMA) open the folder, COPY THE SAVES FILE.
When you reinstall the game(s) open the folder find the SAVES file. RENAME it
.old Copy the one you saved into the game folder and you should be up an running.
For the FMs you need to copy the folder created by DARK called ALL SAVES. Use the same procedure when you reinstall DARK and plug the ALL SAVES in the folder.

By renaming it .old, do you mean renaming the files like for example, I have a sav file called game000.sav and changing it to game000.old?

NO. The entire SAVES folder. Make it SAVES OLD. The game will not recognize it, but you can save it some place. Then when you reinstall, delete the SAVES you find in the new folder.
Copy paste the SAVES OLD back into the folder. Rename it by removing the OLD it will then be SAVES.
Same with the ALL SAVES. Make it ALL SAVES OLD. Reinstall DARKLOADER. Remove the ALL SAVES FOLDER. Replace it with the ALL SAVES OLD, rename that to ALL SAVES (Take off the OLD) and you should be up and running.
Be sure to keep a copy of both the SAVES (OLD) and the ALL SAVES (OLD) someplace else on the system or on a CD or a thumb drive.
