Thief - Stain Glass Designs

Hey everyone,

This may be a little different but im going to attempt to create some stained glass windows based on the designs found in the Thief series.

To start, im using the one of someone hanging from a tree, which I am copying off my computerscreen while the cinematic is paused!

Im calling on anyone who has/or can get screen shots or images on any of the stain glass windows out of any games, (particularly the ones found in various hammerite places) and could you please post them on this thread.
Google images proved fruitless for me! hehe

Any help at all would be very much appreciated,

You could go into the texture files and get the window images that are used in the game. The *.crf's are really *.zip's.

Ive tried that on thief 2 and 3, but I dont have gold or T2x installed yet, and I cant find any windows either, just small icons and interface stuff.

Im not demanding anything, but if anyones bored i'd be very appreciative if they wouldnt mind taking some screen shots for me, as i cant do it just yet, no acess to my own PC.

Well, there is some Stain Glass icons in Both Thief 1 and Thief 2, however getting those can be tricky as those are not logically named.
However you should seek referances to name "cathedral" or something similar, so you can find those textures more easily.

If you need some help making those transparent, or something like that... well I can see IF I can help along my own projects.

And that is true all data files are actually Zip files, however I use "IZarc" compression tool, which handles corretly quite many compression formats.

Oh, and I assume that you want to reuse those textures from Thief 1/2, right ?

Well I can't look through my own files just yet as i cant get to my own PC, and wat do you mean by reuse? I don't wanna remove them from the game or anything.

And no, not just cutscene/briefings anything at all, weather in game or cutscene or some other source, if you could nab a few that would be tonnes of help!

wow! sweet, thats a fine collection I particularly like the Mechanist one at the bottom, are all these from Thief 2?

The square texture with the large hammer on it isn't stained glass, it's tile.

And yes, for the love of god, it's "stained glass", not "stain glass".

Calm down dear (as Micheal winner would say...) stain glass or stained glass, most people would know what your refering too..
