cheers
it was horrible
another 6e wasted
the splinter cell: pandora tomorrow is still the most involving (and the only stealthy) mobile game i've played
tons of more thiefiness in it than this official turd
the one about the original splinter cell was about the same quality as this thief-thingy
haven't tried the chaos theory one, as it won't run on my 6600

ah
apparently there's even a pseudo 3d one
looks awfully messy though
anyway, i had the large screen one
only got to the fourth level as it got so damn hard

I love the concept of taking a modern 3D game and trying to re-create it as a 2D mobile or retro version :)
Speaking of which, whatever happened to the guy who was working on a 2D version of Thief?

I really don't care about those other games... give me a review damn it!
A ful blown review, including a pointless and uninformative scale at the end.. I prefer the 100% scale because it pressumes that the reviewer can see the difference between 0.5!
--and when you include your scale I am going to require some reference points, I can't let this expensive scientific training go completely down the drain!... damn I think I missed my chance to post a "really drunk ttlg forum posting" umm post [SNIP]

I vaguely remember some Thief mobile game a few years ago, before TDS came out. IIRC it was a top view game.
Anyone remember this too?

I didn't like the look of that one, it didn't look like they had the technical skill to make it happen, from what I remember about how they were going about it.

if they cancelled it, they should release all resources they made for it for the community to pick up
source code and all
i'm thinking it might make a fun game in a puzzle mold

Wouldn't this have worked much better in a top down perspective like the NES/MSX Metal Gear?

Not a bad idea. That would actually work really well if done right. And it can be done, since Metal Gear and the AMAZING Metal Gear 2 were ported to cell phones in Japan last year.

Sorry to bring up an old thread.. but I found this game for my mobile a week ago and it totally made my day. I love Thief and even though the mobile version doesnt compare to PC, its still awesome as hell!!
Heres where I found it:
