Has anyone thought about making a book of fan art with the consent of the taffers involved, and what would the legality of that be? I'd even be interested in working on it myself - if there's a call for such a thing

Hello everyone I'm a new poster here.
That art book looks amazing  , its just too bad about the copyright redtape, I would have liked one of those books.
dcool, did you mean an entire book consisting of the fan arts from fan sites like the Circle of Stone and Shadow? (I can't remember its new name, Thief : The Circle I think  ) or from the art threads on here?
Whichever one, it seems like an interesting idea, there are some really talented taffers on here.

Digi is the de facto publisher of (
http://thief-thecircle.com/) The Circle of Stone and Shadow. Seven posts up, gentlemen. ;)

The size of most of the images wasn't really suitable for printing anyway, so they would probably look really bad when enlarged.

Absolutely. Even something that looks great full screen on your monitor will still look crummy when printed out at that size. Dominus made the right choice.

You have to take into account quality print DPI. When you have an image that is, say, 800x600, if you print it at 600 DPI it will only go a little over an inch wide and an inch tall. If you force it to take up 8 inches wide and 6 inches tall you would very noticably see the lousy low resolution, something which I see published now and then and it looks like utter crap. I'm glad this book didn't go that mistaken route

Spix, the great thing about blurb is that anyone can publish there. Why don't you do your own version?
Disclaimer: This is not a sarcastic or condescending remark.

Just curious. How does this compare to the pdf artbook that 2K released online for bioshock?
If one was to get it bookified and give out copies all over the place, would it be legal?
