I have received another submission today! I have also extended the voting period by adding an additional month.
Thank you! Question: Do you have to have played all the missions to vote? Not sure about the voting format exactly. When I think about it, I've never voted in a contest before...

i would say yes ,you have to play them all so its a fair contest for all people who spent so much time making these amazing missions for us to play,i saw they are going to extend voting time

I think klatremus was asking if you can vote for each mission individually after you play it instead of having to do them all at one go. I don't know, that depends on how Al B structures the poll I guess. In the past I recall being able to revisit the voting page multiple times, not having to vote for all of them, and even updating my votes I had cast earlier up to the deadline.

The way the voting is usually structured, you do not have to have played them all to vote. You can vote only on the ones you've played. This isn't ideal, perhaps, but people have busy lives and may not have time to play them all. Most often, the voting is broken down into scoring each mission in several categories rather than a direct comparison between missions, so that makes it less of a problem if you've only played some of them.

downwinder: i dont think you understood my question. I would never vote for the best mission if i hadnt played all of them. I agree that wouldnt be fair.
Tannar: Thank you, thats the type of voting id hope for. I assume it would be something along the lines of a percentile score in different categories, where the end result is an average of all the votes for that mission. That way it doesnt matter if one mission has more or less votes than another.

Yes, that's exactly right. I can't say for certain it will be that way, but that's the way it's been for all of the more recent contests.

kal i am sorry i miss read it in a different way i understand now
there is one downside to that, say you play one mission and its omg so good u are like wow and rate highly after playing, then you play a different mission and found it better but the rating on last game was say high and you cant go higher, then you in a bad spot, and if you under rate missions early on,they might turn out to be better ones in the end
a good fix would be let a person rate a mission after each one they play but also allow them to edit votes as needed based on other missions, unless its ok for a mission to have a possible tied score in voting?
Yandros on 24/10/2018 at 12:55
As I said earlier, you can generally go back and change your scores on each mission up until the deadline.

Great news (both about the extra submission, but also about the extended voting period)... I wonder though if it still isn't long enough?
As many here have pointed out, the Thief community has grown older, many people have jobs or kids or both.
Currently we are (according to the list above) in for at least 10 amazing fan missions, with another 11 on the "Maybe", "Probably" and "Need to confirm" lists... With only 2 months for review that is between 3 and 6 days pr. mission on average, I am one of the aforementioned "grown old" guys, with two small'ish children and a full time job, and I'm pretty sure I won't be able to keep up a pace of completing 1 or 2 missions pr. week consistently for 2 months.
Now obviously, just because one or a few people has a problem, dosn't mean everybody has to suffer or wait, but the missions have taken a year to complete, why do they have to be evaluated in a rush? I'm just putting this here for consideration.
If it ends up that we will only have 2 months to review, I will have to see if a can make it, and if not having completed all missions means you can't vote, well, then so be it :)
Good luk to those of you entering, and with putting the last finishing touches on the missions :)

We just said a few posts above that it's OK to just vote on the missions you're able to play as you play them and it isn't necessary to play them all in order to vote (although it is of course preferable).
