I'm not that into re-makes like this generally since they don't usually recapture the magic for me (well Thief 1 converted to Thief 2 was admittedly nice, but it was the same engine & assets & gameplay, just better). But I'm with whoever commented if they're going to do it for Crysis, they may as well do it for Dark Mod and actually get the stealth gameplay so it's more than just a glorified art project ... not to mention some T1 OMs have already been made for it. I know Bonehorde & The Haunted Cathedral.
But people have their favorite engines, so maybe he's not going to change his mind anyway. Crysis is pretty, though still a bit of an odd choice.

Nope, they are 'inspired' by the originals but are not 1 to 1 remakes.

I don't like how that looks at all. Really doesn't fit Thieves atmosphere at all.
Besides, the Dark Engine had such a classic distinct look to it.

The issue isn't with the engine, it's with the low quality of this guy's work.
