thief the metal age problem

Hello

I just bought a new computer

asus p5n32 sli se deluxe motherboard
intel pentium core 2 duo 2.13 ghz
asus en7300 gt silent graphic card
1 gb ddr2 667mhz kingstone memory
creative soundblaster audigy se sound card
iiyama prolite e1900ws widescreen monitor lcd

After system instalation /windows xp home edition/ and downloading all the updates for it

I have installed thief the metal age then patch it from 1.07 to version 1.18
i have nvidia gforce driver v91.47

i tryied to play thief which is for me best game ever but
it only runs the menu
i can make all the setup in menu but when i choose to start new game then i enter the difficulty settngs and then i hit load game all i can do is to watch cutscene and then the screen goes black and nothing happening
then when i hit esc to get to the menu the game exits instantly to desktop

please help to solwe the problem i cant imagine my life without thief game series :)

i just saw an error message it wrotes

"direct3d device driver does not accurately report memory usage
contact your 3d accelerator vendor for updated drivers"

It's more likely to be this

but looking at "intel pentium core 2 duo 2.13 ghz" suggests that hyperthreading will be the next problem to be encountered

If you've installed Thief into any directory other than C:\Program Files\, that might be why. I had the exact same problem for that reason.
