I described it above, but since there's no transcription, I'll have to type it out myself.
"In your mind...imagine you've locked all your troubles in a box, and tossed the box into a deep...deep...ravine. As the box falls further and further away from you, wave goodbye to your troubles. They will never make their way out of the locked box. And even if they did, chances are they'd never climb all the way out of that very deep ravine. And from now on, you'll be a more relaxed and confident person. A trouble-free person. A person that can say the following, out loud, several times a day: 'I have thrown away my box of troubles. I feel relaxed and confident. If more troubles come my way, I will put them in a box, too, and toss them...into the deep...deep ravine in my mind. --ine in my mind. --ine in my mind. --ine in my mind. --ine in--'"

haha very new age, yes! then I've understood right.
You talked about the guard of the museum? I've just listened the two guards before, they talked about some their fellow who get dimissions from work, after being scared to hear the eye talking. ahah
In other word, the Museum director managed those who said to have heard the eye speaking as mad?

Damn!! I neither remembered the Curator's name... Too time stuck within tests, T2 fan missions, mission editing, etc... I have to replay this game. Now that I have a more comprehensive knowledge maybe I will found Deadly Shadows still more interesting, and new spicy clues to enjoy.

MUSCuratorFiredCrowley_001000: m10c0301: "Ho there, Bishop, did you hear the latest?"
MUSCuratorFiredCrowley_002000: m10c0302: "'Bout which thing?"
MUSCuratorFiredCrowley_003000: m10c0303: "Crowley got himself fired yesterday. He told Curator one of the displays kept talking to him, tellin' him things."
MUSCuratorFiredCrowley_004000: m10c0304: "Ho yeah? What did Milton do?"
MUSCuratorFiredCrowley_005000: m10c0305: "She just kinda looked at him all squinty, with that metal thing in her eye, you know?"
MUSCuratorFiredCrowley_006000: m10c0306: "She never puts it down. Treats it like gold."
MUSCuratorFiredCrowley_007000: m10c0307: "I hate that thing. Anyway, she looked at him, but Crowley stuck to his guns. So she gave him the big heave ho."
MUSCuratorFiredCrowley_008000: m10c0308: "Unbelievable. Good ol' Crowley."
What's weird is that there are two Miltons (one is the Curator and one is a male thug threatening the Stonecutter's life) and there is the Crowley in this conversation and the Stonecutter's name is Crowley, too. There are two Curator's, one is this lady Milton, and the other is a man.
Dahlia, at the Docks, says this about Milton or the other curator: (Laughs strangely) "You might say the curator there and I are on good terms. Real good."

????
Before too I asked to myself what he meant about...
Maybe another prothesys of the Mechanists?

No, just her Monocle. It's special loot.

I wonder what happened to the whole Mechanist technology. During Thief II it looked like an industrial revolution was going on. But while playing Thief - Deadly Shadows it looked like all Mechanist technology was totally abandoned.

Ion storm happened. They tried to appeal to the majority of gamers by making DS full Medieval rather than steampunk and thereby lost what fans they already had. How sad. :tsktsk:
In universe though, I'd say that after the Mechanist plot was revealed the people became horrified of the terrors of technology and did all they could to obliterate it, thus leaving no traces behind in DS.

Yes. At least these awful servants are gone forever. For good.
Actually I loved Thief - The Dark Project more than Thief II - The Metal Age. I played TDP first and TMA was too modern for me (but later I learned to love it). Because I loved the medieval feel I loved Thief - Deadly Shadows. So my personal list is:
1. Thief - The Dark Project
2. Thief - Deadly Shadows
3. Thief II - The Metal Age.
