I think it's really cool that, aside from publishing and distribution, it looks like many of the bases have been covered. It's great to see you have artists working with you. My illustrator flaked out.:(

We are not doing it from the scratch. We had had some kind of love prelude a couple of months ago. So, I'm hopeful we'll break through... Anyhow, thank you for your kind words and best wishes.

If you're interested in someone else's experiences with trying to get Eidos to allow a Thief-novel to be published, ask xxcoy.
I think, raptor knows me as well as I know him already.

She wrote a fantastic Thief-novel (in German) and tried to get it published.
The answer is: Do
not write about Eidos-Stuff, then you might get it published, at least in Germany.
(Or be very lucky and do not try asking Eidos-Germany, even if you have a publisher who has licences from them already, has already read your book and already agreed to do it,
if Eidos takes any part- for Eidos
won't take any part. But they
do want any profit.)
Good luck. Maybe Eidos UK is not so inflexible.

When water is dripping on the stone, the last one will inevitably split up. We'll keep on trying our best... The trick is that the EIDOS is blocking much more interesting plots I'm planning to novelize. Let's wait and see keeping our fingers crossed.

Well, it's a bit hard to keep track of who is knowing whom - most of the time I'm glad when I know, whom I know, especially with all those different names on the different boards.:cheeky:
And maybe publishing in Russia is a different thing for Eidos since they are not that active there. I could imagine, that they want to keep the german (and probably English/American) market under closer control. Anyway, good luck:thumb:

I have no intention of publishing my work. For me, the joy of writing is its own reward. The fan's enjoyment will be a happy extra. But publishing? That's a nightmare I don't need. But then again, this isn't my profession - just a hobby.

Writing it is living it. :)

I like that you said that, xxcoy. Today someone asked me why I don't write a story about someone like myself and people like the people I know doing the things we all do in the lives we lead. She thought that would be very interesting and worth reading. I do not disagree with her, but I can't imagine anything more unappealing about writing a story about my own day to day life. How could I, when writing can take me to completely new places and let me be other completely different people?
