Now, I know this is a rather early idea, and something that won't be achieved for a while, but I want your guys opinion on what features should be added to a Wii port. Of course, one idea for me came to mind very quickly:
Use the wiimote as a blackjack!
And seriously! :3 Add a functional control scheme that integrates the inventory like never before!
But really, what other functionalities sound good?

Use the wiimote as a blackjack! Why not use the wiimote for the sword and the bow and other weapons too?
With the new Wii gadget that makes the controls much more accurate (can't remember what it's called), that shouldn't be too difficult, I suppose.
Maybe the Wii Fit balance board could be used for running? :p Ok, maybe that's going a bit too far...

Definately! However, such a thing would be rad for adding a difficulty curve to the game: The ammount you weigh in on the scales impacts how fast you must move on certain surfaces...
Oh, and cutting through my earlier gibberish: What you said about using all the weapons with the wiimote and nunchuk is what I meant to imply. Sorry bout that.

Put your wiimote on the ground and you placed a mine! :laff:
Seriously, it would be very cool if I could blackjack someone that way.

I can say that I would probably buy T4 on Wii (as well as PC, naturally) if they port to that platform, specifically because of how the controller would enhance gameplay and immersion. Other consoles... no.

If they do it for the Wii, then I'll buy a copy, and I don't even own a Wii, just for the coolness of the blackjacking :)

Yup, and I'll be the one cowering in the corner away from Biker ;)

Is this a joke? I don't own a console (Wii or otherwise) and wouldn't dream of it. I don't think you can really get into a game sitting down and watching a TV. It has a different mood to me, and Thief's mood is very uncharacteristic of what I want out of a console game.

If we're talking about the same Wii then you don't sit down and simply watch.
We play most games standing, and even if we do sit down occasionally it's not like lazily lounging around - you're still playing a probably very engaging game.
I definitely would give a Wii -Thief crossover a try. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Urgh, I can't imagine a Thief Wii game. It may sound counter-intuitive but I've always found the wii-remote significantly lessens immersion, mainly because you're having to think about your own movements in the real world instead of just concentrating purely on the world created onscreen. A wii-mote blackjack would be a fun gimmick, but used as the control screen for a full Thief game? I doubt I'd finish it. What next, a Thief minigame pack?
