I wonder, does anybody still compete for times/speed runs?
I may, if someone beats me in a mission and I can find the time.

It would be nice if you could record them so people could see the runs.
Luthien on 10/4/2006 at 07:44
I already have.
MorbusG on 10/4/2006 at 08:23
Are they available on 'net? What address?
Luthien on 10/4/2006 at 08:40
Check this link.
I was actually referring to your and Lt-UnReaL's results.

OH. Oh thank God. The way the post was worded I got the idea of someone trying to get some "good times" with the Thief CDs....
I came to see print-fresh newspaper. Obviously we were all duped.

I have. Also I have checked archive.org and SDA for thief speedruns, but I can only find baffords videos. If you have your run available on the net, I would love to see it.

Ah, you're talking about videos. Sorry, I did not make any. They would be several hours long anyway as I optimize a lot with saving and loading. I just added the results to the lists.

i am very surprised to see you here man! :D
Hey nix! So, do you play Thief? I started playing this game in about 1998. My brother started to play again, so I said, hey, what the hell. Then I noticed that speed runs in Thief is freaking awesome!
And morbus, those runs were very helpful, and very fast *gasp*
Time to try to get times on thief 2!

That's too bad. Now we just have to believe your word for the times ;)

Thanks, but they are pretty darn far from being fast. Check out Luthien's times. I make a lot of mistakes; haven't mapped out properly the best routes; misuse speed-potions; get lost once; get confused wether to play sneaksie style or speedrun; etcetc. So there is *lot* to improve.
I would be mighty glad if someone told me how the "keyholing" works.
I know I read it somewhere some time ago, but I cannot find the info again.
