And I have to agree to disagree with you a bit in what you said about Garrett being a cop PotatoGuy - I think if he had the right motivation (setting up to get close to a target that had wronged him, a major loot score or being forced into the situation by the keepers somehow) Garrett would have temporarily thrown on the uniform but only if given the proper motivation
Yes, I thought about that. I think Garrett would join the bluecoats when he thinks he can do some good things. (Even when he is a thief, sometimes he really does good things. Like saving the world for errr.... 30 times?;)) On the other hand, Garrett likes to be his own boss and decide on his own, and when you are a bluecoat, it's not that easy.

Oh c'mon, he would just HATE being the one standing in the lightened are waiting to be blackjacked. That is pretty impossible. No way that would happen. It's a nice idea still. Cookie to the author.

With his thieving experience, Garrett as cop would hear a thief from a mile away:D

I don't know about that at all :laff:
I think Garrett is the anti-hero type that only saves the world in order to save his own skin - so something like that might be stretching it. ;)

Hero is a cheap thing anyway. Those series named "Heroes" are cheap in their idea. Wee, everyone wants to be special there, wee! I mean it's just funny. Hero is more like a thing for kids.
So Garrett being that guy, that saved everyone "by the way", is the best idea ever, because that way it's not too far in fantasy (batman, superman, ...?), but realistic (and not overly realistic, which i don't like so much) and... gotta love the carelessness/not-all-shining skin he shows every time he does it.

Very true. I couldn't agree more.

Really? Wow, you just make my day better. Also i forgot to mentioned, that humans just don't really do selfless deeds. Usually they help others so they would feel better about themselves or theire just pure boredom prisoners (like me, except i'm not even helping anyone lol). But Garrett isn't either one, he just... helped himself. :D
P.S. I didn't notice how much i've contributed for the epic mission of going Off Topic.
SneakyJack on 20/2/2009 at 20:54
Its not off topic, you are discussing the missions story angles more in depth - and I am enjoying reading about the thoughts people have on it :thumb:
These threads are meant to have us play a fan mission together and then pick it apart while spilling our brains on what we thought and how we played - so please continue if you have thoughts stemming from it! No worries :)

Oh, right. It's nice to have such friendly calls. Heheh. So i guess no more thoughts on my side for the time being. Eagerly waiting for the next fan mission to play and discuss. :D

I meant that I am enjoying your thought streams and discussions about the mission - I don't know why you'd take that as not needing any more thoughts from your side :laff:
Once we play a mission that stands out more to me I'll be going off on tangents about the oddest stuff in missions as well - this one just didn't have alot of stand out points to me (not saying that makes it bad, it was just very average) so I don't have alot to put out there for discussion, so its good that people are finding things to discuss about that are deeper than just "I liked it, I didnt like it."
Long story short, please continue with your random thoughts about the missions :thumb:
