Hey everyone. there all this talk of Thief for DooM3 but what I wanna make is a Thief wad for DooM 2. Not really turn it into a first person sneaker - which would be impossible - I want to turn some of the levels from a Dark Project into DooM 2 levels - like Return to the Cathedral.
It's just going to be kind of a joke, but you have to admit it would be trippy. I know DooM 2 can't do floors over floors, but I still want to see if I can pull off a pseudo RTC.
I want to make a sprite Hammer Haunt for it in single player. The problem is I can't seem to find a model viewer that will let me look at models that move around in game so I can spin them around in 8 angles and take pictures of thier walking frames.
I have 3DS Max; and I have found the 'Free the Objects' toolkit, but it only seems to convert whatever I put into it into a worthless .3ds that has no real data in it.
If anyone can help me out to figure out how to do anything reguarding model viewin' please tell me. :(

By "here's something" Soitter really means "here's the best Thief-themed Doom map you could ever get or dream to produce".
Go play it, go play it, go play it!
[Edit] Requires ZDoom to run. Get yours here:

I have the thief wad and zdoom but how the hell do you get them working?

I hope you also have the original Doom 2 resourse iwad. doom2.wad
You need it to play any custom maps, much like you need original Thief content to play FMs.
If you have that, just dump ZDoom, doom2.wad and the thief map in one dir, then drag and drop the thief .wad onto zdoom.exe - voila!

Also, ZDoom actually CAN do floors over floors. Really.

Well that was fun. It would be even more fun to be shooting at guards and hammerites instead of the Doom standard issue enemies.
