But if he never left the keepers he would never have become a theif, and the game would be called Keeper: The Balancing Project, and it would be about you running around finding old books on prophecies for the interpreter, kinda like a maze game. Sounds like a blast.

Then the City Watch would be running around trying to kill them like sewer rats (and failing pretty miserably as their swords are unable to kill them 'cos their so short)<--Thief 1/2 game engine/AI.
The Smurfs would eat everyone and then EVERYONE ELSE would be a zombie or would of fled the City. Not just the Old Quarter being walled off now but the whole City :D.
What if you were given the option to play any sort of character / enemy in any Thief game? (I personally would love to play a zombie making his way out of the cemetary and eating hapless citizens and causing widespread terror :D)

T3 stone statue. Those things were so badass. I SOOO loved the reactions of the City Watch when they saw the statues wandering around in the street. :D

I would love a potion which was a strong smelly musk, which made you fully noticeable but which only made the guards quiver at your feet, do your bidding and drop their weapons.
What if Benny and Garrett were revealed to be the same person, a subconcious apparition resulting from an unfortunate experience with an inibriated uncle?
