Well this one answers itself. He keeps picking pockets in the street, the end. He has an ambitious streak in him, though, so maybe he would have moved up to some heavier crimes, but he could never go anywhere with it because he didn't get the training. He'd grow old and die an unknown. Of course, the prophecy would have to be rewritten to allow it to happen, though.
